Aldi strikes again!

Aldi had it's annual fishing gear specials sale yesterday. For those of you who didn't know, apologies for not posting earlier. For those that did know, is my memory crook, or was the the braid much cheaper last year? Don't get me wrong, at $12.59 for a 250m spool, it's quite good, but still a big jump from what I'm sure was $8.50 for the same last year.

Anyway, I got a couple of spools of 8 and 12lb braid. I also picked up the soft tackle bag for $29.59 that comes with 7 trays for all your terminal tackle and more.

It's always worth a visit to your local Aldi today. There still might be a few things remaining, I'm sure.

My mate at work on Friday said have you seen the tackle on sale at ALDI I said no , he then said its sh-t don't bother. He did mention the braid. But I think not everyone has the same taste or same spending budget on tackle so ALDI might be just right for others.

They had some big poppers and lures there so for 4 bucks each I grabbed a couple for giggles. And a cheap lip grip that I won't regret losing like my last one...

I'm a bit elitist when it comes to braid so let that pass me by but if i'd had a pressing need I'd probably have got some didn't look too bad.

Actually, the braid I bought last year was 20lb, cause I was late getting there. But I can't complain. That was the stuff I had spooled when i got spooled at wally's last Feb. On each occasion it was the mono backing or leader that let go. Nothing wrong with the braid itself and it seems to hold the knots true, as well. Aldi do have some questionable product from time to time, but for the money, nothing I've bought there has fallen short of expectations. I love my glove and pliers. No rust to date. Not bad for six bucks apeice!
