I'm a keen fisherman from Belmont NSW and would like to gain some tips on fishing techniques and locations for a weekend away in Soldiers Point (Port Stephens) in late September 2014. I'll be land based, would like to stick with the Soldiers Point area if possible and will be fishing day and night. In return I would be more than happy to share tips on my 25 years of land based fishing in Newcastle - specifically Lake Macquarie, Swansea and surrounding beaches. Any info would be appreciated. Guest no one Posted August 21, 2014 Share Posted August 21, 2014 I hooked and lost a Wobbegong off the wharf and tailor from the garden of the place i was staying at soldiers point, also lots of smaller flatties.
