snatcher
Photographed this kookaburra at my daughters place in Frenchs Forest last year. Lovely birds but oh so noisy at times I was feeding it strawberries on the veranda John

cameldownunder
Lovely birds but oh so noisy at times It's not the noise, it's the time at which they make it.

snatcher
Ha ha I just knew the title would pull in a lot of views for all the wrong reasons :sun: On my travels was advised by Paikea to check out Pebbly Beach south of Ulladulla. We were mobbed by King Parrots,Rainbow Lorikeets and Crimson Rosellas. Quite an experience It certainly took the wife by suprise John
snatcher
More ozzie birds - just been rooting around my digital archives to find a few more I simply thought this was quite humerous - all of the gulls perched by the Keep Off sign. This was up the river at Noosa Heads. Must dig a few more "bird" pictures out John
bluebottle18
KOOKAS. I lived in Kempsy for a few years on some acreage. When I came back from a fishing trip the Kookas ( 4-5 of them ) would fly down and sit in my boat and wait for a feed of fish. I wasn`t game to not feed them something. Always had a pilchard or two . They also kept the property free of snakes.

Jocler
Beautiful photos. Green patch, the camping area at Jervis Bay was also a great place to get mobbed by parrots. I would always take international tourists there just to see the expressions on their faces at so many incredibly coloured parrots hanging off them, They couldnt believe how they would simply come out of the trees and sit on their shoulder.
