Guest Guest123456789
Hi raiders, Can anyone please give a recommendation (maybe even one of the site sponsors) for 40lbs multi coloured braid? Colour change every 10 metres. Looking for recommendations on brands and suppliers. Thanks guys.
Adsy91
I've got the daiwa j-braid in 30, 20 and 50 in the colour your talking about. Its worked great and is quite cheap in comparison to the other jigging braids I've seen. I am trying a new brand in a week or two when I need to change so I will let you know what it's like in comparison
Guest Guest123456789
Thanks mate just purchased it. Cost $44 delivered , bloody expensive so I just went with 150 metres. Hopefully my el cheapo 50lbs mono will hold! Edited February 6, 2016 by Guest123456789

Guest Guest123456789
I've reluctantly had to give up drinking, gambling and chocolate because of fishing! Oh well.
tyrone07
J braid is horrible for casting have put it on my sustain 5000 and have had nothing but trouble off the rocks, back to the ever reliable fins
Guest Guest123456789
I won't be casting with it

I'm using fg knots and a good rod length and a half of leader and on a 7ft 5-10kg rod it casts 20grams about 100m which is not bad for this outfit at all. tyrone07
I have it on one of my certates which is used for reds with plastics and the odd micro jig and it's perfect for this, real fine diameter and is nice and soft. As for throwing bigger metals and poppers off the stones as I said earlier I was having issues

John'O'
I have tried that many different braids off the rocks and surf that I can truly say the Daiwa j braid is the best on the market and it's actually reasonably priced for s Japanese braidOne thing is a must though. Atleast 2m of mono leader for casting with any braid! Using an fg knot500m of 65lb for 90 about 6 -9 months ago from tackle shop at Coffs Harbour Edited March 30, 2016 by mrsswordfisherman No advertising unless a sponsor
