Geoff
GRAYS POINT RAMP G.P. ramp is the most western of the P.H. ramps , only a k or so from the Audley weir & about 6 k's from the heads. LOCATION Grays Point Rd . off North West Arm Rd (Gymea CONDITION & ACCESS The council spent a few $$$$$ a year or so back on the car park , toilets & picnic area making the area very nice , unfortunatly not one dollar on the actual ramp. Two lane ramp which is OK between half to full tide. At low tide it is rather sad especially the right hand side (when looking from the water) PARKING Car park has spots for about 35 trailers & during summer this is normally full by 7.00am. After that it is parking on the entry road. Very steep , OK walking down , when collecting the car , send the fittest person. Geoff Launched from Gray's point today. Finishing touches , mainly the concrete walk ramp up to the jetty was poured this morning. Checked it out when we got back , they have done a great job. Steel fencing should be removed in the next few days & it will be fully operational Speaking with the contractors aparently the new ramp extends into the river approx 30' beyond the low water mark however the sand has already moved in the cover the bottom part of the ramp. This should not cause any problems as it is unlikely to be very thick this is the old ramp picture Edited November 18, 2007 by johnno
