Ryder Posted July 26, 2014 Share Posted July 26, 2014 Braved the rain and the cold to meet up with Trevor and Royce around sunrise. We fished the southern side of the lower harbour around the top of the tide. Once the berley kicked the bites began and the fish started coming into the net. For a while we were going fish for fish, just when I was about to put the keeper net back in the water someone else was on. Things slowed down towards low tide and we packed it in. It was my best session so far, with 16 fish between us and a half dozen throwbacks. I was stoked, and the guys said 'that's about average' If that's average I can't wait for a hot bite. Ryder Posted July 27, 2014 Author Share Posted July 27, 2014 They are great eating. You need to bleed them, and clean out the black lining of the gut cavity. All of the fish in the pic are still alive, just out of the keeper net. The biggest and smallest were let go. We only kept what we needed. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
