Asaltweapon
Hello all, I'm heading out on Wednesday this week it looks good, but the fish are slow I hear at the moment. Going from broken bay straight to the east side of Browns then trolling to Heatons in the hope of huge barrels.I'll access the drift while I'm trolling and looking for temp brakes ect then i will cube from around 1pm there's a tide change around 5pm fingers crossed. Anyone else headed out with a plan or am I too early, the charts say cold water is up and circling, some one has to be there to greet the tuna on arrival. ?? rexaway1234
Not sure what charts you looking at But Expect to only find 22-23 degree water with current running straight down from north If You looking for cool water it's a long way away still and sitting 250 km offshore at least
Asaltweapon
It's my first time reading charts and I'm using the BoM, to me the cool water was closer on Sunday then pushed out but it can move a lot in one day. I'm hopeful for a little more cool water closer as you can amagin. I'm on the water from 5am so mackerel don't be Shi
galini09
may be a little early out of Sydney, but that's not to say its not always worth a shot if the weathers good. I'd expect to see them about 3-4 weeks from now. its been a slightly later than average run out of Vic this year and their are still stripey s biting on the south coast. fishy
Hard to say, warm current still pushing down hill pretty well. Hopefully the east coast low ( and the next one or two over the next few weeks) will break it up a bit and allow some southern ocean water to push up in close enough for us to have a crack. Pretty short window last year, and maybe the same this year. But you never know unless you go!
