Vac seal machine recommendations

Rather than hijack someone else's thread. Here's a question.

I like the idea of vac sealing but haven't found a site with worthwhile reviews.

If you have a Vac sealer which you think is good quality and the sheets or bags are not stupid money. Can you recommend a make / model?

I'd rather go with a Raiders recommendation than without.

Thanks

Steve

I tried to send you a link via a pm but I couldn't get it to send.

My ones a luvelo vac sealer off an on line shop.

It's great my fishing buddy and I have one each.

I even put an inverter in the boat so I could do it all on the water.

My one lives in the boat and still works well.

Spooky,

I was just thinking about this before I logged in.

Lets keep the thread going and see what we come up with collectively.

Cheers

I have a "food saver" $10 at a garage sale down the road. I think it's a sunbeam product, it goes well but bags seem to be fairly exxy from the good guys.

My bags included from said garage sale are about to run out, are they interchangeable??

They are much cheaper online but dunno what you get for your money, some tips on the bags would help as well.

I have a Bigland VS5500. I bought it off ebay. It uses rolls or bags but I prefer rolls simply because you are not limited by size then, the bag can be as long as you like. I make a lot of bacons and hams as a hobby and this unit was a cheapy and hasn't given me an ounce of trouble.

It is a rebadged Luvelo unit.

Lol :) i may be in for a kicking here. But as I classed it as a kitchen appliance. I wrapped mine up as a Christmas present for the wife ;) it's like a win win scenario right?

If you give that to your missus, you might find you wake to the sound of an electric pump and hard to breathe.

J I'm still laughing at your comment.

Donna. It's ok. I've got lots of other desirable gifts to go with it like pin bone snips. Fillet knife set and scaler. Saucepans and a new set of marigolds to go in her stocking!

;)

Oh and the new marrelles. Ipad air. Perfume. Chocs ect :)

Let's just hope she opens them in the right order so she can cook salmon for lunch :P

He lights the fuse and steps back swiftly.
