REEF MAGIC CHARTERS

Reef Magic - Monday & Tuesday report

Recommended Posts

Well for us we have had a couple of hard days on the water only picking up albies & dropping 1 yellowfin. Well done to the guys that managed to get fish. Heard a few reports from people that they got bluefin & the boys running out of the Hacking doing the best. Fishbones fish that they weighed this afternoon was a cracker. The warmer water has started to flow as expected & with the bluefin thinning out we are hearing reports of more people encountering yellowfin - not in any great numbers but it is certainly looking promising for the coming weeks.

Two longliners were baiting up yesterday off Jibbon which says that they think that water from the north should hold yellowfin as well so let's keep our fingers crossed that they turn up in good numbers.

Anyway we are back out tomorrow & with the weather looking good there will quite a few boats out... good luck & hopefully have better news tomorrow.

Cheers

Damo

Would like to thank Mike and Dave for all their hard work today. Covered a lot of miles and burnt a lot of fuel for a few albies. Hope you get back into them soon.

Cheers

Damo. Sorry to hear the zeros.

Yeah the yellows are a coming. I went out on Sunday with a friend & snapped up 3 yellowfin at around the 30 to 35 kilo mark. One on the troll & a double hookup whilst cubing. One on the cube & the other on a livie. Sitting northwest of Brownes between a 19 to 21 degree temp break. Went out Monday with another boat & we snagged one Alby & dropped 3 big fish....don't ask why LOL All day cubing. No blues for us but still...not complaining that's for sure. :)

Well done on the yelloin Seazar... Unlucky on the lost fish mate... at least you got an albie for the table.

Fish don't seem to be in any great numbers but mixed with the albies.

Cheers

Damo
