Hi Jon , there are  a few options around JB- Murrays is my pick  , 30 seconds to the squid grounds and 5 minutes from the ocean- if you are fishing outside the Tourny

Thanks mate, is there plenty of parking around there. Did you sell the boat?

Don't leave any valuables visible in the car at Murrys, got a bit of a reputation for break ins. Know a guy who had a new alloy trailer stolen just after the refurbishment of the ramp. Weekdays can be a bit of a ghost town round there, perfect for people up to no good. Other than that, good ramp setup and easy access to outside. ;)

The temp break is sitting pretty wide at the moment, hopefully it swings in closer for you guys in time for the tournament.

Good luck out there Steve!

Im presuming it's a gamefish tournament? (Marlin etc)

Going into a comp is a great way to get in 2-3 days fishing! I enjoy using that excuse! :)

Cheers scratchie!!!

Well best of luck to you and the crew!

Remember, the one thing with game fishing is 95% waiting for that 5% mayhem!

I look forward to your updates!

Cheers scratchie!!!

Think it was pretty tough over the whole weekend for the guys. Report i read only had three marlin tagged, a few sharks and the odd albacore. One yellowfin of 39.5kg i think was also weighed.

I fished the Friday and concentrated most of my work between the banks, block and FAD. Had one marlin come across the nose on the back of the banks but showed no interest in the spread.

Had heaps of bait on the sounder but very very quiet out there.

Bad luck MV, still beats working.

Any notable catches from other boats?

Yea,  full fish tally listed above with the addition of striped tuna for the kids.

Gonna try and find some good water off Newcastle tomorrow.

Good luck Steve! The water was amazing up here yesterday but the fish didn't want to play ball.
