  1. I always fish land based, and would also like some advice on good spots.... I've never landed anything above 30cm in all my fishing trips though (Must be something Im doing wrong!) Was fishing last night under the Harbour bridge at Milsons Point. (from around 9pm - 12am) Didnt get many bites or biggies but it was a relaxing place to be. Theres even 24 hr security around there! I was just after the humble bream but there were some other fishos there targeting the bigger stuff with pilchards. Some guy caught an octopus AND a bream on the same cast in his Paternoster rig! The octopus freaked him out and he let it go though.
  2. Good stuff.. Did u fish off a boat or land based?
  3. Are the fishes caught off Putney edible? I've avoided places like that because I thought you couldnt keep the fishes caught there?
  4. Well done mate!!! What baits were you using? I was fishing La Perouse this morning (land based) and got nothing worth keeping! From what I could see, the other anglers, both land based and in boats didnt get anything dramatic too. Should have went to the Harbour! Lol..
  5. Just joined fishraiders and woah... what a collection!! Thanks Iceman
  6. Hi all, First post here. Was just about to start a similar topic till I saw this one. I've never been up the Entrance way before but a couple of mates are planning a trip up there this weekend. And just to make it exciting, we're trying to pull an overnighter! Maybe drive up around midnight from Sydney on Friday night and finish off on Saturday morning! Does anyone have suggestions on where to fish? I'm not targeting any specific species, as long as we get some bites (legal sized ones would be good though) Breams will also be good! Is it better to fish the Ocean or the Lake? What baits are good to use? Do people fish at night there?
  7. Hi, I fished under the Harbour bridge last weekend and there were heaps of fishing boats in the area so I suspect you might have some company. Not too sure where are the good night fishing spots though. (I'm after some myself!)
