  1. 6 months renting while looking for house to buy which was a punish but fishing is brilliant, been smoked by some big mangrove jacks.
  2. Been a while and so much to read. Moved from Central Coast to Gold Coast and haven't had internet for over 6 months, hope everyone is well and catchin plenty.
  3. Where you thinking of launching from and where you plan to fish?
  4. Turned into a pansies game, used to be a mans game but now as bad as soccer lol Bring back the biff and the real men, not the pretty boys. Oh.....and bring back Bill Harrigan haha
  5. Bring back Harrigan!!! The only changes that are needed is refs that can actually referee a game. Other than that it was one of the most boring games i've watched with no excitement from either side, they both just went through the motions. Oh and someone needs to gaff tape Gus Goulds mouth shut....he's a *%^$
  6. Wangi area, Valentines, Summerland Pt area usually produce. Also around island has been good, look for the hole in NE side. Also around Murrays Beach has been productive.
  7. Upright as they are in photos mate, never had an issue with it. I also towing them with a big lifted GQ Patrol so drag isn't really an issue haha
  8. A tough lake to fish, if you haven't hooked up within 15min then you move on to next spot, northern western end been fishing ok and around pulbah.
  9. Well after buying another kayak I had to get a trailer, ended up getting a 7x4 high sided trailer so I could also store camp gear etc in it with yaks onboard. I got a mate to weld up some H frames and added some marine carpet to stop them moving around, i'm pretty happy with the end result. Only had to mod it once as when I measured it all up I didn't allow for the damn height of the roller door hahaha.
  10. If you look at second hand pro anglers try avoid pre 2013 as they are known for issues and hull cracking and the mirage drive is quite outdated.
  11. I'll send you a PM with dealer details mate.
  12. Native Slayer Propel 10 or 13, great kayak, not to expensive and a lot lighter than the Hobie.
  13. Avoid the Hobie Pro Angler unless you're going to trailer it, i've also got a Native Slayer Propel 13, fantastic kayak and they also do a 10ft model which is quite light, worth looking at. I got the pro angler more for touring so i could carry my swag and camp gear but also use it for general fishing, the slayer is still my go to yak as it's light and versatile and i love the fact i can reverse on it haha.
  14. Lucy's breakwall you spin for them and use a fast retrieve, sometomes slow it down a bit, early mornings are great as they head out the heads just on sunrise and afternoon when they come back in you gotta get em before they get into bay as shut down and usually won't take a thing you throw at them. They do like metal vibes retrieved at a medium rate. Off the breakwall i'd be using 15lb braid and at least an 8ft rod. If you can't turn them they head straight for somewhere to bust you off around breakwall, fish there every year at least 3 days a week when they're on but now chasing them in my kayak haha
