  1. Have reported this to Fisheries on their 1800 line. I would like to talk to the Fisheries Office that look after this area. If anyone knows which office & phone number please post it here. Thanks.
  2. Just spent the weekend on the Lower Kowmung River & we didn't catch or see any Trout. Only seen Carp. The Kowmung hasn't fished very well for a while & we were telling some one we know about the lack of fish when they informed me that at where the Kowmung meets the Coxs, they have found chicken wire across the Kowmung to stop spawning Trout making their way up the river. They have found this a number of times as well as a friend of theirs who found it the first time. They make it a point to go there every time now to remove & hide this wire. I have just informed National Parks & they will be investigating this. Some one out there wants the spawning Trout to only go up the Coxs & not the Kowmung. Anyone who goes in there just keep an eye out for this wire. I will give you an update when the National Parks gets back to us.
  3. I was wondering when someone was going to start posting on this. When thing settle down I'm going to give it a go.
  4. Had a crack at it today & ended up with zero.My mate had 1 hit. The river is still flowing fast. Spotted 1 Trout up the creek just before the weed barriers which are washed up in the trees. Arrived at the boat ramp at 7.30 but the gates were locked. Contacted the council yesterday & they said that they would be open. After a few phone calls we were on the water at 9.30. Seen about 10+ dead very big carp floating down the river on our way back. We were the only ones on the river. Didn't try to get up to the Warragamba river as it looked like it had fairly big rapids just before the mouth of the juction. Maybe a bit big for my 3.95 mtr punt. Did it years ago in an old glass boat but I was younger then. Still a good 1/2 day out. Looking foward to more reports. Cheers
  5. I went down on Saturday to have a look but the boat ramp was closed. I believe their not opening the boat ramp untill Monday. I will try to give it a go on Tuesday.
  6. I was waiting for someone to start this thread. I'm sure trout will be there.
  7. I put a lock on mine when we are camped at a Lake'etc. Yes'the holes are the same. all the best Regards
  8. The watersnake quick release bracket fits perfect. The holes line up so no drilling required. The only thing is it's hard to put a lock on it. If you put the lock on first then put the motor on. Once the motor is on then lock it. I purchased a minn kota i pilot yesterday to replace a crap watersnake.
  9. I have had enough of my JW water snake elect motor. It has broken down on me 4 times now & it's time to get a Minn Kota. I have had it for just over 3 years. The first 3 times it has failed with the same problem of water getting in the electrics in the top of the motor. They fixed this for me for free but they jumped up & down about the last time. I would only leave the motor on the boat over the odd weekend & if it rained water would get in it. The last time it was fixed I used silastic to seal it up. This time when it failed (yesterday)the motor wouldn't turn at all.(battery fully charged) I have had it. These are cheap motors but are crap. Like every thing else Jarvis Walker make, crap. What ever you do DON'T BUY THIS BRAND.
  10. Heading down to JB on the weekend. Any news. Thanks
  11. Now that is a great report. I use to fish & camp down on the Coxs,Jenolan years ago back in the 1980s. It's a great place & use to get great fish. It's one of the hidden jewels so close to Sydney but a hard slog. Matt I don't know if you already do but if I was you I would submit your reports like this to the big fishing mags. I have to say it again,WHAT A GREAT REPORT. WELL DONE!
  12. Next weekend is the Sea Bees ANSA comp at Lake Lyell. Who's going & I'll see you there.
  13. Thats exactly what I have been telling people. What is their other policies.
  14. Can you buy Dusky Flathead over 70cm at the fish markets.
