You cant condemn past actions using todays thinking and standards. Those fish would have fed a lot of family's.

Went out with my granddaughter today. More swimming in the shallows than fishing. 2 nice bream deep on soft vibes near the maria. then a variety of flathead along the rive and up into the Maria. 7 fish all up .Last one went 56.

4000 should be good . depends on what your fishing for. 4 to 7 isn't a finesse rod. May be consider 15 lb braid ?

Stick to one style of fishing, don't chop and change until you are happy !

I have a lot of Psychological posters that helped me ! What we Focus on the most, Is what We move towards. Have Clear Goals. And a Clear plan to achieve them. Do our Beliefs Align with our Goals. We must have Empowering beliefs. We must be Grateful for what We have, What We have Experienced and what We have Learnt.

I have a meter long cooler bag, I put 4, 2lr frozen juice containers in it and lie it on the boat floor along the seat out of the way. when I catch a fish I put some salt water in it to cover the fish and slip them in. Cold water keeps them in mint condition.

1/4 oz jig plus a 4" plastic will be close to 15g . way over 8g !!

There are always fish feeding on the surface around the settlement point ferry. Thought I give my Grand son some practice on them today for some fun. To my surprise they aren't Tailor, But Yellowtail. We still had fun !!

I was tying a bite leader but had problems with knot strength. Spider hitch "seems" stronger ! I have a friend who uses 90 m/m Double Clutch , A longer Lure To help.

This is 3 lb fluro, I tied a Spider Hitch to form a double line, Cut it so I had 2 separate lines. Then twisted one around the other to stop them from separating. Haven't caught a fish on it yet. But I love it !! Idea came from A guy at Hot Tackle.

Preparation if half the fun. I fish in a lot of reef and mangrove infester places. I always come home with shredded and missing leaders. Before the next trip it is a trip to the rigging bench. This time I have a drag that's not as progressive as I like, So a strip down and clean is in order. I also drop a spot of oil on the line rollers and some other spots. I have no tolerance for gear failure !!! More so when its Maintenance related !! It avoidably, I fish hard on light line, So I need all the help I Can get!.

I have a few in the freezer, so all released. Need to eat them first.
