    Newcastle

xmas time is a hard time with lots of boats and people about try some of the lest popular beaches like dudley and nine mile , stockton and blacksmiths breakwalls are worth a try but early. hopefully with good tides, nobbys breakwall where you can fish the harbour one side and the beach on the other is worth a try with live worms but early before the n/e winds get up there are others but you need a boat good luck
  12. if land based blacksmiths break wall is a good place to start, if you have a boat around the sand islands at pelican with blood worms you'll do well,a couple of jew spots is belmont barge and the trench
  13. live worms work best for me tube worms work well on the beach, blood worms are good in the estaries but the best worms are squirt worms if you can get them
  14. mate there places in the lake to get livies, the belmont barge and the trench are two to start with, also don't be fooled the jew are there too
  15. cobia are one fish that have been caught there
  16. took a few mates out in the boat over easter in lake macquarie had a great day caught fish & crabs , but one of the catches was a 38 cm whiting caught on mullet, i am thinking the pickers cleaned the flesh up and the whiting took the skin although i am not sure, so has anyone else caught a whiting on something like this thanks
  17. has not set their status

  18. i have heard about this dvd where can you buy it
  19. you have made a good move , i live in lake macquarie/ newcastle area, the first thing you have to do is follow the newcastle knights stockton beach is good , newcastle harbour is a great jewfish spot, there lots of breakwalls to fish from and plenty of beaches, lake macquarie is the biggest saltwater lake in the southern hemishere there is no pro netting and big flathead ,bream ,whiting are there, also you have the power outlets which produce good fish too,if fresh water fishing is your game they are not far away either ,fresh water rivers are half an hour away ,lake st clair ,glen bawne dams are 1 to 1.5 hours away ,life is good
