  1. use live squid and u will hook into kings everytime
  2. Put in the time to catch squid and u will definately hook into a kingy, they just love them and eat them even if they are not hungry.
  3. u need an epirb from 2nm out, under that u need a radio, i done my test about 6 months ago Hi Saltrix, cheers for the info i dont have gps and the sounder i have is crap as well really, i dont usually use it as i land kings everytime i go out and only have been targeting them for a few weeks but i find that if you have live squid it gets smashed everytime. My PB is a 85cm fish which pulled pretty hard. Sorry if this question is stupid but what's a transit. Cheers
  4. Hi Guys, Coild anybody tell me where the colours are, ive heard of some nice kingy's being caught there but don't know where it is. Cheers
  5. I caught it in sydney harbour, close to the bridge.
  6. Hey Guys, I just caught this in the harbour, bang on high tide and just after dusk with a squid i caught and froze last week. PB for me
  7. I was at north head this morning. Lots of boats around but many of them not hooking up. I managed two PB salmon at around 70cm each and they were great fun to catch, such powerful fish. It was also great to see them cruising around as i have never seen a school like that before. Most of the boats were using metals and minnows but none of them were hooking up. I had a float out the back of the boat using butterflyed yakkas for bait and they were getting smashed, wish i had more bait with me. I just drifted from old mans hat out to the heads and got them that way. I also got busted off twice so was thinking one was a kingy maybe as it went deep and the other my knot came away, not sure why but it was dissapointing as it seemed like a better fish than the others. Also managed a 50cm tailor which was a PB as well. I only see one other boat hook up on the salmon so thay are very fussy, i would suggest trying some bait under a float as it worked weel for me.
