  1. Hi Everyone We went to Narooma last weekend to fish for Flathead & Bream, not much luck, the first 2 days we were blown off the water, we got out on Monday & fished the morning run in. Water temp was low around 16, we did find water over 17' & managed to get 1 bream around 1.5 kg & I lost a flattie at the boat that we guessed was about 45 cm, my fault as I lifted it's head out of the water & lost it. Still had a great weekend & will travel down again when the water temp is better Alan
  2. Myself, I get seasick in a bathtub, for many years I would just not go out,,then a friend but me on to Avill. I take these with Quells as a top up. Now I rarely get sick, I've learn't to put up with the dry mouth, much better then looking at the side of a boat. I have never tried ET's product, but it sounds like a winner. There is nothing worse than being seasick, you feel like death is the next best thing. Regards,,Alan
  3. Hi Fishos Has anyone fished Narooma land based in the passed few weeks,,we are going there for the long weekend, going on a Charter Monday (inlet), but would like some info on land based fishing where & how would be great. We will post pics if we have any joy. Thanks Alan
  4. Awesome Fin Dan, congratulations 85 KG makes the trip worth all the effort.
  5. Hi David I get very sick & for years would not go outside, I found a combination of Kwells & Avill works for me. I take 1 Avill the night before & again an hour before I hit the water also take a Kwell at the same time. I have not been sick since using both of these together. The Avill will make you drowsy but that is way better the getting sick, I also take ginger beer on the boat as this helps settle the stomach. Hope this helps, I can think of nothing worst than being seasick. Alan
  6. Sorry Jewhunter but I'm sure stockings in BW is illegal, except on female Raiders
  7. Hi macca02 I have fished for Blue Swimmers in Brisbane Waters, I used Mullet strips on a large hook with a running sinker large enough to hold the bottom. Just let the line hang over the side with the hand line spool on the bottom of the boat & wait, when a crab takes the bait it will hold it & pull away, you will then see the line running off the spool. Pick it up & very slowly retrieve the line ( most crabs will not let go) when you see the crab grab a net & very slowly move it under the crab, bingo you have your Blue Swimmer. Remember most crabs are lost at the boat so be careful. As for location around St Hubert's & Davo is a good place to start. PM Ray R for other spots Good luck Alan
