  1. What rig are you using? One or two hooks etc I generally use a patanosta rig with star sinker on the bottom, Gang hooks and surf popper on the top.
  2. I vote you should eat it and report back.
  3. Wow You can not even get the first corner by the looks of it with the water coming over the edge. The amount of white water in pictures 6 & 7 show how nasty it is. Was there any surfers in it this morning? Tip Tip
  4. Hey Roberta Me and the "The Alby" are heading to Eucombene just before new years for a few days and was wondering where on the lake you and Kim fished. We were down there last year and two years before with the dam at only 35% so with it being over 50% it is going to look a fair bit different. Favourite go to spots were yens bay and Old Adaminaby banks with only a short trip to seven gates. Tip Tip
  5. Palm beach sharks don't worry me as much as the Smiths creek sharks as that is were we get the tube out and those times where you are waiting for the boat to come around after being slung off at warp speed. mmmm

    Tow Car

My mate tows a glass haines hunter 4.8 meter and it tows it anywhere with a XT Forster.
  7. Yeh cause "Lures aint Lures"
  8. My oldies have a place that is just off the lake and have tried once to kill a few hours but no result. The wind was blowing and was trying my hand a soft plastic and spinners. As it's just down the dirt track I am keen to land one there so will have to give it another go next time I am up. I tried the bay on the opposite side of the picnic area around from the dam wall
  9. I had finely sliced snapper the other night and it was pretty good
  10. Those first two photos look like Yens bay to me It seems to be a go to spot

    Work week

A month back I was told I had won a trip to come to a convention for First National real estate in coolum at the Hyatt. Arrived Wednesday and checked in and rang my mate at Caloundra to let him know i had arrived. He finished work and came up for a few beers at my room with plans to go to noosa catch up with his fiance and have dinner before he would drop me back. We ended up at his for a bbq and after too many beers I thought it might be better to stay at his and get a lift back in the morning with his fiance. We spent the night planning Sunday with negotiations taking place about our departure time for Sunday as I was supposed to have a big dinner on Saturday night but I knew we had to be up esrly for the morning and after agreeing we had to be on the water by sun up we hit the sack. After a couple of big nighs i decided to check out early and go back to his on Saturday night so we can have an early start on Sunday. He fishes at least once a week and sometimes two so his plan is to head out approx 10km out to a little reef he fishes and troll round for a bit then hit the bottom for a mixed bag. He puts in at Molloolaba and heads straight out so looking forward to the day and will let all know how it goes. I have this awesome room with king sized bed and out of four nights I only stayed two but as i didn't pay for it I can justify it that way.
  13. I had a good mate tell me once that "When you fish from a boat you try and cast as close to the shore and when land based you try and cast out as far as possible" I dont know if that helped but as above fresh big baits and tides and then it's all up to you to put in a few hours.
  14. Yeh I'm with you nuclear chicken or try the prawn immatation
  15. Those pinks jigs are the go
