  1. What a beast! That bloke prob had skinny arms before the wind up 550m? The fish is a big one too ok im gonna do it too (haha)
  2. yep in europe they have them for christmas, I had some when there (my wife's slovakian) tasted pretty 'orrible but i guess it survives well over there. long way from the ocean so its that or trout and in poorer times a carp is alot more fish for ur buck. Her old man bought it about now (3 weeks or so out from christmas) and it lived in the bathtub until the big day.
  3. Hi guys and gals, I am going down to a property that backs onto the shoalhaven river near marlowe. I was hoping to flick a few hard bodies around and maybe baitfish for eel. So I wanted to ask what should I do if I catch a trout or perch, I was planning to just carefuly release?. I notice fishing for them is banned now it's winter. Is that a total ban? Please clarify what I can and cannot do. I am a bit confused. Thanks G
  4. Yes i use the same method with no weight. but i find bait staying on is a problem (bread prawns etc) the best bait i found for me use was discovered by accident it is salami. the long ones you have to cut yourself, cut a 5cm piece and put it in your pocket, and just bite a bit off and put it on. It stays on for ages, it is oily so they can find it and you can leave it in your bait bucket in your car boot for a few days and you wont have to sell the thing to a wreckers. i love it. or maybe its cos its the laziest option?? works for me when i take the wife down the lake for a muck around fish.
  5. Are bonnys any good to eat? Ive heard they are only ok in fish cakes/patties. I caught one out oldmanshat but only used him as bait and to get beachworms. but im just starting out it was my first fish on metal, i earnt it after 3 sessions coming back empty handed. The King would've been nice.
