  1. Yeh 30lb braid and 50lb mono leader long trace about 2mts
  2. Sorry no info supplied Caught in 22 mteters of water southern end of reef 22o temperature caught using live yakka on a unwaited line with the bail arm open. I thought it was a Kingy the way it hit and ran. Its my PB and cant wait to cook up a storm
  3. yeh sorry the outer fad is the wave ryder marker from gov site for gps marks
  4. sorry didnt see or catch legal size but they were feeding
  5. Sydney inside fad had all little kings and dollies but the outer fad had the bigger ones
  6. The kings were all nearly legal and the dollies were a good size we saw a boat keep a few but most went back and we sent all ours back.
  7. Fished the fads yesterday and got smashed by some big kings but managed a couple for the table. Also fished dee why for 2 small reds 2 morwong and 3 flatties all in all a good day.
  8. Left Roseville yesterday at 5am to fog and headed out to get live bait but couldn't catch a thing. Headed out with the lures through the heads but still no luck. Got the FAD off Dee Why for zip and then to the Wave Ryder we we found small dollies no keepers its starting to become a bad day at the office as we have been trying to get out like everyone else thanks to the weather when we decided to go to our snapper spot we found last year just as a off chance they might have returned. We dropped in 80mtrs and found a nice patch in the sounder and brought up 2 fish on the first drop. Then another on the second drop. The the current below started racing south to north and the slight breeze sending us south east so we couldn't stay on the bottom. We then noticed the temperature had risen 2 degrees to 24.5 so we stayed in the break and found 3 very small marlin and chased them for about 20 min and got 1 strike but no hook ups a lot of fun anyway. We the headed back home and dropped just outside the heads for 2 good mowies and decided to head home. Great to be on the water on a sunny summers day.
  9. Left Roseville ramp yesterday (being the only trailer at the ramp which I said to the boys was not a good sign) at 7am with no1 son and his mate as they decided they did not want work on Friday. I own the boat so I had to go as well with a little support from the misses . I didn't realise there were so many of my freinds who were worried I didn't have enough work on. Should not feul up at the local on the main road at peak hour . Anyway got to the heads and found bonito busting bait but refused to take any lures. Left for 12 mile for some jigging but found the wind picked up about 5mile out and decided to return to cliffs around The Gap for some bottom bashing and a cuppa. Well it all started very quickly with a croc 50cm straight away. We then started to pick up some serious bites and manage to keep 20 crocs between 45 to 65cm 1 leatherjacket and 1 sargent baker. Must have returned about 30 just undersized crocs and 5 pinkies. I will not ever take my mates suggestions that you can't catch fish in a serious westerly. Left them still on the chew what a great day. They say a bad day on the water is better and than a great day at work but for once it was great day and I didn't miss the work at all. Oh yeh didn't get the cuppa until Igot home.
  10. has not set their status

  11. yeh thanks breed should have checked first on the breed but as it surfaced the jaws protruded just like a white
  12. Travelled up to Port Stephens after the festive season to find some decent fish. Went outside yesterday and found a good reef but could only pick up small snapper. We decided to drift off the reef for some flatties as we caught some decent size 2 days earlier. Later I felt only a small tug and then set the hook for a little fun with what I felt was large flatty and then it decided to have some fun with me. It surfaced about 20mts from the boat and I and we both thought another shark but it wasn't until came closer we realised it was a little great white. What a fight from a small shark It took line like a marlin and took a good 5 minutes to get him and it didn't like being in the boat but I coudn't resist a photo. Hope he doesn't come back to haunt me later as the last one I saw was 5 metres at Long Reef. Also saw a amazing site a huge turtle eating blue bottles.
