  2. Thanks for the info guys..... I made a mistake, my friends tell me Quote:caught it the other side of NZ as well not tahiti. Thanks again.
  3. A mate of mine is sailing half way around the world, he caught this close to Tahiti
  4. I hear you mate, we got caught around at Manly....We new it was coming but did not think it was going to come so quickly...We were just about to finish up and head home when the wind came up, we quickly wound our rods in and got going.....abit of a splash and dash to get home. We were in my mate Haines 4.6 and after the experience of those conditions im sold "Great Boats". Had the bilge on nearly the whole way and had to take it real slow heading south then as we came around into the heads we started surfing the waves we could speed things up a bit. Happy to get home and have a shower and beer to watch the last hour of Bathurst.
  5. Ordered the new DVD by Obsession Session called xxxxxxxxxxx Fishing "Kingfish Session" and it came in yesterdays mail, I must say it is a great DVD. Watched it with my wife last night and now she is all keen to get into catching kingies. Recommended watching with heaps of Sydney based Kingfish fishing tips. Good work guys

    Flightcraft 475

Hi Raiders, Just wondering if someone could offer any advise on a Flightcraft 475 Cuddy Cabin. A friend of mine is currently looking at one For Sale and we have searched for information (reviews) on whats the boat is like but keep coming up with zip. Flightcraft 475 with a 70 on the back.......Looks to be a neat outfit but curious how it handles. Thanks
  8. Thanks Coach, "makes sense" I will give it a try..... Yeah, on a squid jig......just look for the weed beds and throw it out .....I use a slow retreive but the last couple of times I have been catching them on the jig which I put on the float just over the side of the boat and leave it there while im jigging.(keep it close to the bottom)
  9. Hello Fishraiders, Just a question, I fish mainly in the Harbour and most of the time with live bait. My usual procedure is first to try for squid, which usually produces a couple. Second to collect a heap of Yakkas. I have a live bait tank so I put the squid in the tank and keep the yakkas in a bucket and continually empty and re-fill with fresh water to keep them alive. It's a bit of a pain and was wondering what others do - I have been told not to mix both yakkas and squid in the tank. Your thoughts would be appreichiated.
