mate, Do yourself a favour, go to a shop with all those rods & reels put them together & feel the weight of them. Then put a Stradic Ci4 or Rarenium Ci4 on one of the rods & you will see the difference. if your casting all day the extra weight will take its toll by the end of the day. cheers zed

Try a plaited double if time permits, but if time is of the the escence the overhand knot will get you out of trouble. cheers zed

I am curious to see which engine would be trouble free ( I doubt there would be any ) Now this would hard to measure. A 10hr young engine (should be trouble free) & so should 200hr engine There is just too many variables outside the normal service schedule that could influence a failure. My recommendation would be to talk to a number of Mechanics about any or all of the minor & major failures that occur with all brands. I hope this helps Zed
