  1. Thanks Rob for the reply ,I had a better look at my options to-day and I don't think I can Fit a battery in down the back of the boat unless I sacrifice the live bait tank. The fuel tank Is in the left side (probably not a good idea to slot a battery in next to Fuel) and the livebait tank is on the right side, there is some space next to it ,but there is a structural brace for the deck that won't allow me to drop a battery in there either. The kill tank/esky at the front has a flat recess moulded into the plastic bin ,so I will slot a battery into there until I find a better option . cheers
  2. Hi Guys , I am looking for somewhere to mount a deep-cycle battery on my 400 hornet trophy. The spots that look the most likley are the esky/bin at the bow or use the existing battery compartment and shift the cranking battery to the back right corner? Has anyone fitted a second battery to thier hornet? any help would be great. thanks Brett
  3. Nice yella Kiwi ,We had a crack in Burrenjuck with nothing but a carp and redfin landed ,the weather turned nasty at lunchtime so we packed up.

    Help With Fishfinder

Have gone with the Furuno ,Thanks for the help.....
  5. I am looking to replace the finder in My bayhunter and could do with some help.My fishing is 75% inshore .My budget is around $450.The sounder needs to be easy to operate, preferably 5" screen, I'd rather a good black and white than an average colour,I don't need a heap of features that I will never use. A few that have caught my eye are- Furuno ls4100,Lowrance X125,Eagle 480,garmin 300c . Sorry I know this topic has probably been done to death but your help is apprieciated. cheers Brett
  6. You could get an engineer to nock one up out of aluminium on a flowjet? look in the yellow pages
  7. Thanks Pete for the info . Cheers Brett
  8. Hi Fellas ,Heading to st-georges basin on the 26th with a few Mates ,I have never been to the area and just wondered what to expect? What fish to target ? tackle to take ? bait to use? best spots ? any help is apprieciated [and needed] cheers

  10. Gday. When the maker of a boat stamps his MAX HP into the Hull , Is that because of weight , or will too much power bend the transom ect. Reason I ask is because My boat is rated for 60 max , and yammy 60 and 70 weigh the same 105kgs . Would a 70 tear the arse out of My bayhunter ? Cheers

    Underpowered Bayhunter

Hi huey thanks for the reply. Mate at WOT I am seeing 5,500 rpm . I will give you a call
  12. First post so be gentle boys. I own a 475 Bayhunter with a 40hp evenrude fitted , which can only just get onto plane with 4 people on board, It's not to bad with 2 or 3 ,but that one extra ? Anyway ,what are my best options .1. repower with a 60hp [max for 95mod] for around $9,500 new ? [have been looking for a low hour 2nd hand one with no luck] 2. Sell the lot and buy a later model boat with higher HP eg . Coastrunner 90hp. Would a Coastrunner or equivilent be a much better hull than my old bayhunter?[that has only got 160hrs up and is in great order] So instead of fitting a new 60hp motor and having a boat that ows Me around $16500 [if I sell the old motor] , should I sell it and spend $25k .cheers . any advice aprieciated
