  2. Thanks Guys hey Noobie running ball sinker just drifting down into a burley trail of crushed up pillies and a loaf of cheap sliced bread from the local bakery mate they were keen to give us a run on 8lb line lots of fun that Trev went 46 cm! gave me a bit of curry on the light line but he kept on doing the ol ring of fire dance near the anchor rope lucky my mate knows wjhat he's doing with the net!.. we were still both on leave so we lit up the weber the next day and got the and kids onto a fresh feed needless to say we enjoyed a few bevvies.. ah you gotta love having a couple of weeks off cheers
  3. Hey Raiders, Been a while since my last post but thought I'd share my latest outing with you all. Rising tide in the Harbour the other night using the old trusted yabby for bait left them on the chew as we approached midnight.Great to be out fishing again! Sammy
  4. Nice catch there champ gotta love the bloodies on a rising tide! my fav bait ..Whiting can't resist
  5. I'll sign the petition for sure! I'm going away with a group of mates ( annual trip ) late Nov on a houseboat in the once mighty Hawk but reading all these posts has really upset me with me being the only real fisho going there will be even more expectation on me to bring them on the chew..by the sounds of it there is nothing left to come on the chew ah what a fine waterway it used to be.. crying shame really
  6. Thanks Krispy! Trumpeter of course knew that one but for some reason I have been labelling them as spotty whiting!lol cheers mate
  7. I've been told in the past that they are 'spooted whiting' commonly found in the estuaries..I seem to get a lot of these type of whiting in Pittwater and west of the Hrbour bridge.very sweet thay are much like their bigger cousin the Sand Whiting
  8. G'day Raiders, Getting a little hard getting reliable crew these days so I went out on my pat Saturday morning for a few hours before the rains settled in.Conditions were perfect less than 10knt winds with a run out tide. Couldn't be bothered anchoring so was just drifting Balls Head when I cam across a school of Breambo's.. It was a lot of fun and every cast I was on ( right place right time )..I'm sure I'll get one or two lining up after they see the catch. Pity about the rain settling in for a few days but after it stops and everything is all stirred up I reckon they'll be some big model Breambo's ready to smash our offerings! bbbzzz
  9. Mate what an awesome catch this time of year! if you persist and put some hours in I've seen some of the Biggest Bream come in around now.. love the jews too well done!
  10. Hey Raiders, Heading off to Fiji next week for a 10 day family holiday. I think it would be remiss of me if I didn't try and squeeze a fish in . I just found out on the weekend that a good mate of mine will be there at the same time only at a different location..we're staying at the Radisson Resort and he's satying on Plantation Island. As this is my first time there I'm not sure if charters pick up from locations on the same day, drop offs etc So can anyone firstly recommend a good charter that they've been on recently and secondly ( less importantly ) know if charters can do multiple pick ups from different locations? Any advice would be appreciated. Starting to get excited now... cheers Sam

  12. Nice Bream there Chris ..been pretty quiet on the Breambo's front all round I think at least for me anyway.. good job
