  5. have seen this type of fishing off the piers in the city.... they have caught massive jews by using this method/. attach a live squid to this slider and let it slide to the bottom.
  6. i suggest take it out to georges river at Chipping Norton Lake for a few runs to get use to the tinnie, then once you have gotten use to it, venture out anywhere afterwards

  11. Hey guys, Just a question thats been bugging me for awhile.... I tend to fish for mullets when i'm bored but recently, i was thinking of going fishing for them at night for fun but wasn't sure if i was just wasting my time or not.... So can someone please enlighten me?
  12. Hey guys, Just a quick report!!! Headed down to Tom Uglys Bridge tonight for a quick session to see if anything was biting. Got there about 8:30pm and fishes til 11pm for NOTHING!! Not even a bite!!! Was using pilchard cubes as bait... Hope others did better...
  13. very fun to catch on light gear!!!! i usually catch them for my old man to fillet and dry them! then after a few days of drying, fried up and then munched on with a beer(well a few) on the side

  15. Thanks for the advice guys, I've fished most wharves in the parramatta river for all pinkies.... I might go back to black fishing this weekend weather permits and will post a report if all goes according to plan
  16. Hey guys, Was wondering where can i go around sydney to catch decent sized breams ? I'm from south west sydney but willing to drive up to 1 1/2 hours either way. And are there breams at this time of year? Thanks heaps btw i'm LB

Thanks for the replies so far, was planning on heading out there tonight but due to unforeseen circumstances, I can't head out tonight so if weather permits i"ll head out there sometime this week either very early in the morning or on evening/night. Was planning on bring 2 light rods and 1 heavy for a live bait if i catch a yellow tail or something.

  19. hey guys, I was just looking on google map and it seems from the map that you can fish under the captain cook bridge. I was just wondering if its possible and if so on what side? and does anyone know what is mainly caught there? I was thinking about fishing there to get out of the rain... any help is much appreciated. Thank you, st00ge xD

Bass point, and Hill60 has been firing up these past few weeks with HUGE bonitos and salmon just started firing up this last week, but a word of advice it can get pretty dangerous at these spots like any rock fishing spots so check the swell, wind, tide etc. and as people said in the past posts, these places can get pretty crowded... and i mean very crowded so either get out there early and bag a spot or go during weekdays where its crowded still at times but not as much. goodluck!
  22. Hey guys, I was just wondering even with all this rain thats coming for the rest of the week, I still want to go out there and have a fish!!! But im struggling for whete to go that has a shelter of some sort so the misses can come aswell. I usually go rock fishing but wouldnt mind going for breams or flatties. Any location around the sydney area would be great. And does pier 2 have Any shelter of Any sort??? Cheers, Van

  24. Thanks for the reply fellas, well she ended up not coming on sunday and postponed it til next time.... But i did end up calling another mate to go, lol went to tom uglys bridge, had a few bites, only tiny breams which was obviously released and my pb flatty which i kept for the table
