    Ink

Hi mate, Wash your boat as normal then spray ink stained areas with some bleach and rub in with a sponge, rinse off after a few minutes and stains will be removed.Have been doing my fiberglass and upholstery etc this way for years and doesn,t affect the boat gelcoat or interior in any way. Chris.

  8. I can relate to this with my dog a few yrs back my dog found the 3 large mullet I had out and placed on top of the bbq. They were to be used in my crab pots that night but were consumed by my dog instead and not even a scale left Well he was fine too and I think it was a10 points meal in his eyes. Chris.
  9. Dave must of been you fishing the deep as I motored down through the channel on far side. 10 points on pumping up the nippers, tried to make meng pump a few up but he was frozen Good feed Dave for this time of year Chris.
  10. Thanks ryder, yowie The rat kings were easy caught yesterday following each other to the boat giving us good fun and good to see them in numbers.
  11. Leatherjackets are great eating especially the ones in the photo. But I do know one of the species you catch off Cronulla is not worth taking for a feed as I have been informed by meng and it is a dark coloured jacket.(not sure of name though) Plenty of the small chinaman jacket around at the moment but very small in size though. Chris.
  12. Hi Raiders Headed out today with Meng and started off in search of some kings, came across plenty of rats but nothing of size. We then headed straight down the coast for some flathead on the drift, but all fish caught were under size and leather jackets were a pain. Headed in close to the cliffs to have some fun and gather a feed of the bigger six spine leather jackets, also having fun on other reef species e.g. Trevalley, Sweep, Wrasse etc. Picked up a feed of squid on the way home which was a nice way to finish off the trip before heading for home. Chris
  13. Great post and fish varieties, keep the posts coming. Chris.
  14. Great fishing especially when trying new spots, well done. Chris.
  15. A great bag of luderick as always. Come out to the hacking for the luderick on a trip when you get out of hospital. Chris.
  16. Thanks Paikea, My 18ft Pongrass boat was upgraded to a Caribbean 7yrs back. They sure made a great boat back then and gave me plenty of pleasurable trips and was sold only due to engine troubles and was a very dry riding boat. Chris.
  17. Stephenb79 catching squid in your boat if you go outside can be done anytime of the day. I didn,t start squiding till 2pm yesterday I stay in close and cast jigs around in 25 to 60ft of water in as many places to suit the weather on a given day and fish at the same time also.Squid aren,t shy and if you come onto a school they will let you know in one or two casts otherwise move to a new spot and try.I squid all the way along the coast they are found anywhere there is kelp the key is to prospect until you find them schooling up and don,t just sit in one place. Dave great size snapper for the port. its coming to that time of year alright out the front is a better chance.
  18. Thanks guys for the replies. Witha the lure that caught the salmon was a halco scorpion which was perfect imitation of the slimies around for size and colour(match the hatch on the day).
  19. Hi Raiders It's been a while since I've been able to fish and put up a decent post. Haven't been out in over 3 months and boy it was good to be out there again on home turf. Had the boat packed and ready to go from Friday night for Sunday. Anyway, Sunday morning came along and Meng (gonefishing) turned up at my place at 5.30am ready to go. We hit the heads by around 7:00am and headed South to all our usual spots that we know to try and catch as many species as we could in one day. First fish in the boat was a kingfish which was landed on the troll not far from the heads but was just under so back in it went to hopefully grow into a meter plus kingie. Ventured further down South and drifted for a few hours catching loads of leatherjacket (small in size) and plenty of blue spot flatties, keeping half a dozen each. Beats bought fish which I've been having to do for a few months. There was also plenty of slimey Mackerel to be caught while we were drifting for the flatties. Coming back up the coast we stopped at our usual squiding spots and managed 9 in total. Also having fun on the Salmon which were in big schools using lures. Also picked up a few reef fish and one Morwong before heading home. Had a great day out.
  20. Great trip, don,t see them going in a hurry with the temps up.
  21. Basil, good feed there.Bet the sashimi was tasty, better than a red in my eyes. Any other fish for a long day at LONGY
  22. Great fish, definitely worth the effort. Chris.
