  1. Top session fellas.Plenty of feeds out of those large aircraft carriers, did you catch them all off the bottom or snare the followers also behind the one hooked which is the case most times. Chris.
  2. Great going braving the cold.Landing 1hairy beats zeros and can only get better in coming weeks. Chris.
  3. Great going again fellas . Would of been high fives all round landing that sore tailed fiish. Are they any good on the plate? Chris.
  4. Awsome fish, bet your still on a high landing that beauty . The trout from lake lyle are very nice eating too, they don,t seem to have that muddy taste through the flesh like oberon and other dams. How many times you go fishing and seem to land the catch of the day as your first or last fish, maybe sun up and sun down is best chance of a trophy fish. Chris.
  5. Great efforts trev landing such a nice bag in a short trip. Chris.
  6. Will agree they are a very tasty feed. BUT i let them go or pass them to anyone who wants them as they can give you a very nasty sensation if stung...........Even when dead or you take the fish from the freezer the spines can stil inflict a nasty sensation.Best cure for pain is to submerse the sting on your hand etc into reasonably hot water until pain eases. Chris.
  7. Great going Dave with a good variety in the mix. Are you looking forward to the next few cold winter months putting the pressure on to catch a feed. Chris.
  8. Great going on the fish and good to see your mates drought is over,DONE in style too. Awesome fish :sun: Chris.
  9. Did you try scaling your redfin perch ???(found they are unscalable, better to take the skin off with the fillet knife). I find they are great fun to catch+++ Great tucker enjoy the stir fry. Chris.
  10. At night look for areas that have shrimp or prawns in the system moving around. A bit of light on the water doesn,t deter them if anything probably helps as you can see ep,s popping the prawns off the surface. Found they take all sorts of plastics and poppers at night and great fish to catch. Chris.
  11. MORE fishing trips basil . Lets just see what changes come in.
  12. Send out a bait sized cuttle fish, look in the pool for them around the edges.
  13. Enjoyable weather to be out Dave.Fine table fish too. I never knew those numb rays had teeth , i would of sent him on his way hook line and sinker. Had three spikes off the red rock cods so far, can only imagine with those rays what the pain would be. Chris.
  14. Great fish guys, lucky to see the snake and no one was bit. Heard of one climbing aboard a small boat on the georges at easthills night fishing. Chris.
  15. Ripper feast Dave, keep them coming. :sun: Chris.

  17. Ripper trip keep them coming Great work landing such a prized snapper they sure put up a awsome fight at that size. Chris.
  18. Your doing a super job i will donate you some of my lead before you tear the roof apart on sunday. LOOKOUT BLUE EYES.
  19. Hi mate, A larger rod 14ft will give you a big advantage in casting distance Plus your reel choice will make the difference too,a reel with a large deep spool is best. your mono is fine i fish 40lb mono for more security with no problems on a old seamartin reel it casts miles with ease.
  20. Nice feed indeed Dave I haven't had too much luck on the bream this year. Have you had any luck on jews in the last week??? Chris.
  21. Great going guys. Would love to of seen the expressions on your faces after landing a trevalley of that size AWSOME fishing and nice to see the hacking putting out some great fish Chris.
  22. Groper team, What an entertaining fishing trip Made me chuckle non stop. Started off with anostasia saying basil slow down your going toooooo fast,no hun i'm going as slow as i can BANG BANG BANG all the way to the fishing spot.(Sounded like my wife screaming) Fishing time Basil, theres not much around today i can feel its one of those days :074: THEN anostasia pulls in the first fish, couple more landed then she says i feel calamari are on???.So we changed to the jigs and went for a cast catching a feed easily,GO ANOSTASIA. Really enjoyable trip,by the way basil your wife also caught the last fish of the trip too. Look forward to another trip out soon Chris.
  23. Nice work and plenty of fun catching fish with your daughter AWSOME. Not a good feeling being sea sick i turn green occasionally too. But you still put your daughter onto some great catches on the light gear and kept the smile on her face i bet. Great fishing Chris.
  24. Nice mixed feed there Dave. Saw plenty of bait schools going in the Hacking with the tide tuesday which was good to see. Lets hope a few decent jews come on the chew in the deep in the coming weeks. Chris.
