  1. How far from browns were most of the fish getting caught ?
  2. I would say use the TLD50 as a base minimum for marlin, when trolling for Marlin and you get the strike a lot of line will get peeled off very fast and a TLD 25 will get emptied way too fast !!
  3. every boat is different mate, if you aren't experienced don't just go straight out so far, these fish are getting caught up to 40 nautical miles out, that is a long way to go, you need to know your boat inside out and know exactly how much fuel it uses in both calm and rough conditions.
  4. fshing the bottom you are far better off using braid.
  5. Good to hear mate, from the radio chatter do you think many boats got on to them ?? Still getting them around browns ?
  6. You can go drift for flathead once you find around 50 metre deep water, try that depth from botany bay heads all the way up to maroubra.
  7. How many meters did you fish in ? We went down yesterday for only one snapper.
  8. Marlin are still running, big blues are on Tuna should start showing up in a month or so
  9. tuff tackle they make strong jig rods and bullet proof reels
