every negative ground connection is run back to the battery . never contected to the hull

in my opinion you want the ping set flat out at 100 per cent , (you want the echos reading the bottom flat out and sending the information back )

what transducer are you running? 83/200 is shallow water 50/200 is deep water ( i think maxium deep you can read is 1524mtrs)

can anyone steer me in the right direction with - easy gps ( using a sd card to enter waypoints to my lowrance hds7) having troubles entering ways for example how are they entered ? (S32.55.100) (E151.47.950) do i drop the S and E valves do i put dots in ?- every time i try and enter a waypoint it will not except it cheers

i was looking at the formosa range what turned me off these boats was the poor finish on the welds . comparing a bar crusher to a formosa its comparing chalk to cheese .But at the end of day everyone has a budget.

sometimes it pays to leave these jobs to the pros , i could nt see this popping out real easy. if you have boat insurance im sure this would be covered
