Hi Fishraiders, while having lunch one day last week, these 3 fish appeared at my feet. I was at a marina in Darling Harbour/Pyrmont. I've never seen anything like it. The photo is only an iPhone photo, but each fish had 2 long tails and they were electric, incandescent blue. You can see my shadow in the pic Any idea?? Muzzafish

Hi Fishraiders, I am very keen to get stuck into kings this summer. I have nice centre console 6m and plenty of gear but very little know how for the species. Im looking for guys who knwo how and where to find the bastards to come aboard with me and a mate and show us the ropes. Can head out short notice weekday or weekend and leave from Drummoyne boat ramp. Even happy to pick you up and drop you off on any wharf you like in exchange for some tips. Let me know. Hi Wacko, do you mind sharing some of the techniques? You say shallow and deep water, what depths do each of these mean? Are you heading to specific GPS marks or scanning the bottom for fish on the sounds? Muzza

I was in Manning Point last week and they were indeed out in force. I was pulled over on the Manning River and my license was in my other tackle box back at camp. The chap was good enough to allow me 14 days to produce the license which I did today. No fines were given. Muzzafish

Cheers Grant. Mullet, of course. It didn't occur to me the Jews would be stalking them. You mention live bait but would you think that lures worked around these schools would also work? Do the jews sit under these schools of mullet? Maybe a big mullet-like plastic bounced along the bottom around the schools? Any hints to help me catch a jew would be great. Paul

Hey Fishraiders, While fishing in Botany Bay yesterday, my mate and I saw several schools of something on the surface out in open water between Brighton Le Sands and the 1st runway. We raced over hoping Kingfish or something, but on closer inspection, it wasn't bait fish being smashed by something bigger at all. It seemed to be larger fish, they weren't feeding it seemed but writhing around on the surface in what I can only speculate was breeding. I tried to get close enough to ID the fish but couldn't (and had no camera, sorry). Did anyone see this and could someone tell me what they were? Oh, and of course we threw everything we had at them for no result. Muzza

Hi, I dont need USA maps at all. The Humminbird is sold in the USA and comes with USA maps. I want to load Aussie maps on the thing, but to buy them, its over $300. I was looking for any ideas on how to get them cheap/free via some dodgy download site or such.

Hi all, Has anyone got any experience or info regarding Australian water maps for Humminbird GPS/Fishfinder combo. Im in the US for work a lot and the electronics are so much cheaper over there, but the maps here are around $300 (so the guy at a store told me). Any advice would be most appreciated. Muzza
