  1. to edit footage and put a movie together id reccomend adobe premiere pro. top program, and pretty easy to figure out.
  2. Thanks guys! appreciate it. you guys are up early too! or up late Cheers
  3. Gday roosterman, I usually use slinkys method. it can be an onion bag or watever. i usually use an empty cordial bottle, as we have heaps, fill it with all sorts of minced bait goodies, breadcrumbs and a couple capfuls of tuna oil. shake it up and chuck it in the freezer. the frozen burley will release a steady whiff, to keep the fish interested. just stab a few holes into the bottle and tie it off as slinky mentioned. you could also fill it with sand to keep the berley down, and avoid feeding the seagulls. what you can also do if you forget the burley, get there at low tide, crush some bait etc and bury it all over he area you are about to fish. this way when the tide comes in, the berley will slowly seep out as the waves come in! Hope this helps!
  4. LBG would be Land Based Game fishing Cheers

    Mystery Fish

hey guys, just had a beach bash today up the coast and hooked onto something very big. i dont think the fish knew it was hooked, it was just moving off really slowly, taking drag slowly but alot of drag, nearly getting spooled. about 20 minutes in, the knot fails. hardly any headshakes or anything, just heavy weight pulling at a consistent rate, but it was definitly a fish. i conlcuded that it was either a shark or a ray? any ideas? i hardly gained any line on it, it just kept going. it was hooked on 15lb line on the smallest rod, go figure! shame, wudve loved to see it, ah well. Any opinions wud be appreciated! Cheers
  6. it depends what depthe you want them at. if you are targeting surface species id use a float etc. current also plays a part. if the current is running too fast, you could use a light sinker to wiegh them down but not enough to drown them!! if there is no current, then id suggest a free running float just so u can keep an eye on the livie but still give it the freedom to swim at all depths. the most important thing is that u experiment
  7. Chopper, can i ask what rig u used to catch those mullet? traditional bread and small hook rig?
  8. GREAT. my fave fishing spot is now probably infested with these buggers Cheers guys!
  9. you can click on it to enlarge it, if that helps? do catties have those stripes usually?
  10. Was having a fish in middle harbour this arvo, and a BIG school of these buggers came through, never seen them before. they were roughly 20-25cm each and hung around for a while,my guess is they looked like cobia with the stripes but its probably a long shot! any ideas? sorry about the pic quality it was taken on my phone. Cheers
  11. Vince! Wierd seeing you on here! small world i guess hey. looks like the fishing obsession followed us from high school! nice king too!
  12. Hi Davy a surfer told me yesterday that there was a huge shool of slamon on the southern end of Forresters beach, i had a go but didnt get any hits , so i might have another crack later today good luck mate steve G'day,I hit Budgewoi beach last night. There is a few sambos starting to show up, not in any huge numbers yet though. Give them a few weeks, and with any luck they will show up in the numbers that turned up last year thumbup.gif Also a few avererage tailor made an apperance, but only to around half a kilo. We got a few hits on ganged pillies, but the best and most frequent hits came to squid baits. Just keep that sand between your toes and the fish will come Good luck Dan
  13. i use a simple mix of the no frills breadcrumbs (cheap as), abit of tuna oil, minced cat food and old bait. all in a tub and frozen. IMO the most important element is that the berley is fine so it disperses 'misty' in the water. and also that if its frozen, u can sort of just leave it in the berley bucket and let it disperse on its own, rather then mushing away noisily, in case it spooks any timid fish! Cheers
  14. Gday guys, any salmon starting to show up in the surf yet? we had a ball last season with them on light gear! Cheers Davy
