  1. NaClH2OK9's post in Green Fish with stripes (Gunther's Wrasse) was marked as the answer
    Gunther's Wrasse,
    Pseudolabrus guentheri,
  2. NaClH2OK9's post in what fish is this? sock puppet fish?(Lizardfish) was marked as the answer
This fish comes up frequently and is repeatably identified poorly.
"lizardfish " is a common name for many species but most importantly a family of fishes.
    Synodontidae - Lizardfishes
To simply label a fish as a lizard fish is not accurate or specific. It would be like settling for" Cod" as an identification.
    Synodontidae consists of 8
species and I believe this fish is a Largescale Saury,
    Saurida undosquamis
Though there are multiple other common names including Brushtooth Lizardfish, Checkered Lizardfish, Large Scale Grinner, Large-scaled Grinner.
Can we please include a Latin name with identification suggestion please so we have common ground to debate where the identification is in question.

  4. NaClH2OK9's post in what is this? (Little Weed-Whiting) was marked as the answer
There are 12 species over 4 genera of Odacidae ( weed whitings and cales). Your fish doesn't look like any I have in my reference material but it being a juvenile it's highly likely it's due some colour changes. Shape wise it's very similar to a little Rock whiting, neoodax balteatus...
All that said. They are closely related to Labridae. (wrasse) which have over 400 species there are many of these with very similar shapes and again big colour morphs from juvenile to adult.
Too many variables for me on this one.
