Took the advice above and gave Rodger from Huett's Marine a call regarding a service on my E-Tec. Like most other busy people out there its hard to fit these things in your schedule when you have to go to work and spare time is in short supply. Rodger fit me in on short notice to drop the rig off over the weekend and had the boat ready for me to pick up first thing in the morning on Monday as promised. Let me just say that i will definatly be going back there in future, even though it is right out of my way. Have no problem recommending them, as thats what good quality customer service businesses deserve. Thanks Rodger, Cheers.

Forgot to mention that in my expierence, E10 should not be used at all as it has caused me problems in the past, cheers.

You shouldnt have any problems with month old fuel if its been stored properly in containers that are specifically designed for the job. Fuel additives are a waste of time, just dont store more fuel than you know you will use within a sensible time. cheers

It will be a slow trip but it will get you there. You will have to allow for any wind and current also as this will slow you down even more. cheers.

Great rods those Live fibers. There was an nice old bloke on Stoney creek rd that use to build fantastic Kingy rods using the Live fiber blanks. Just have to be careful not to nick them to deeply as this can cause them to fail under load. Great to fish with though. Cheers.

Looks a little dicey, you're better off using that for berley instead of spending a night driving the porcelain bus.

Just use a small float 1 or 2 split shot and a size 8 hook. The way i was taught is to use stale white bread that's been dried out in the sun. When you get to your spot just soak a few slices slightly (not soaking wet) and mash that into a clean rag so that you can wring out the excess water. It will leave you with a great dough type of bait that you can mold onto the hook easily and it stays on quite well. Cheers.
