  1. I'm pretty sure this was my first caught on lure. Rainbow trout up at Lyall in the middle of Winter. Using Tassie Devils.
  2. Hey Matt, You sure did. They supported Offspring back then at the Entertainment Centre You have a good memory!
  3. Thanks Matt Utsukushii is our current radio song, it's been getting pretty good Triple J play. We do alright at the gigs, this year we've done a bunch of supports for international touring bands as well, tonight we're playing with Guttermouth from California (our heroes), so it should be fun. We are talking to an agent in Japan who is trying to get us over there around April next year. I'm really hoping that happens, would be awesome! That's cool! I just did some searching for you but only found a band from Chicago that I think nicked your name . Is there anywhere online we can have a listen?
  4. I should be given one for being able to locate fishing areas which are completely free of fish.
  5. If you want a fun day of catching carp, you can (unless they've stopped doing this) go to the Regatta Centre around the Penrith area on Sundays. It's been 3 or 4 years since I went but they allow you to fish there, and provide the bins for the carp you catch. We used corn as berley, and also as bait with a tiny hook (the entire hook was inside the corn kernel apart from the point). We used to catch loads there, you also get a fair amount of catfish, I got a bass on corn out there too by accident. They have people selling the $5 fishing licenses set up there as well. Hopefully they are still doing this out there, was good fun. I have pictures somewhere, I'll dig them up and post them here, we used to get big carp from there.
  6. I hope I don't sound stupid saying this, but finely grated potato works a treat to attract swarms of Yakka. I've also picked up slimeys and garfish when going for Yakkas with shredded / grated potato.
  7. Hey guys, Thanks for the replies. I'd love to learn how to fish the beaches you have mentioned. Avoca / Wamberal / Forresters / Entrance. These beaches are only 15-20 mins away from me. I am a pure novice at beach fishing but I do have my own gear, I listen, and am eager to learn. I just need help learning where to fish on the beach, times, tides, and all the important stuff. I didn't mention it before but the fish I'd like to target are whiting, bream, flathead, and even jew. Thanks! Craig
  8. That's amazing!! Well done!! Awesome that you let it go as well. Good stuff!!
  9. Hello, Curious to know if any Fishraider members play in any bands? If so post your band information and some background, would love to know. I play in a band called Batfoot!, we've been going for a couple of years now and have a couple of CD's out. Recording a live album this week, and are recording another CD towards the end of the year. www.batfoot.com Let us know about your band! Craig
  10. Sorry to hear that, those people suck. I had a boat for sale (on the street not far from my house) a while ago and got a phone call from someone looking at the boat. They asked if the battery was in good condition and told them it was. When I went to pick the boat up at the end of the day the battery was gone
  11. Hi Leo, How are you going? I'm around the Lisarow area. Thanks! Craig
