  1. Sounds very similar to my day on Wednesday.......
  2. I also think you'll struggle to find a decent temp break till near the shelf at the moment, look for bait not temp.
  3. The area outside broughton is a good place to start, that then gives you the option of heading south or north dependent on the reports of fish. Keep an eye out for the boats like calypso, viking etc, they tend to know where fish were caught the day before (that doesn't mean you won't catch them elsewhere). If you have the interclub sked map that should give you (and everyone else) an idea of where most fish are coming from over the weekend as the shootout is on.

    tow vehicle

What exactly will you be towing? The advantage of the Ford is that its rated over 3.5 Tonnes
  5. 33 02 south in about 150 m should get you pretty close
  6. As Bill correctly said the Seaswirls are nice boats but there are much better options if your willing to import. We have a Robalo R235 and the fit out and build is exceptional, I have owned and been in many production glass boats that are made over here (cruise crafts etc) and the Robalo is streets above. Your Gradys, Pioneers etc are also very well built.
  7. Are you looking at importing or buying from here? Also what size seaswirl are you thinking of?
  8. Been fishing wide of JB lately getting a few fish on lures and skip baits etc. Slimies have been hard to get out wide and was wondering if anyone would be nice enough to give us some spots in and around the bay to get slimies. Have been launching out of Murrays so that sort of area would be good, and obviously not marine park areas. Thanks in advance

    Polar Boats?

We also just got a boat from the US. Looked at the Polar range but wasn't able to compare to some of the other brands. We ended off getting a Robalo 235 wa and am very happy with it. Definitely worth looking at the Robalo's as well as the more well known brands (at least more well known over here).

    Transducer Size

Just installed a furuno fcv585 and 1kw transom mount transducer. Yet to test her in real deep (200+m) but so far is amazing. Was working perfectly last sunday at 15+ knots in over 100m and that was in very crappy conditions (even picked up some good reds to prove it ). I would definately be steering towards furuno, had some others and nothing came close to furuno at this stage. All i need now is some good weather to get wide and test it. Rod Sorry other info was it only set me back just over 2k
