  1. Wow! Thanks everyone for your replies! I really appreciate it. I'm looking at spending under 2000 for my first yak including all the extras. So storage rod holders, trollies so on. I have the fishing gear though.
  2. Who could hate flatties??? Or tuna???
  3. That's awesome man! Was this on pillies? I might try head out next week
  4. I'm the same with bream, trevally and snapper. Not sure about the jackets? I generally thought most people disliked Aussie salmon
  5. I'm gonna drive up to port Stephens just for a fish with scratchie I think
  6. I think flattie is one of the best eating fish! Awesome work. How did you guys have them?
  7. Hey Mate, I finish work Saturday nights at about 7:45 in Chatswood. More than happy to tag along afterwards if you wouldn't mind me getting there late? Probably more inclined to drive north rather than south haha. Can't make tonight or next week but possibly the week after?
  8. Hey Bear! This sunday is actually pretty bad for me But perhaps later on in the week?
  9. Hey raiders! I've been around a little over the past few years however still haven't had the luck (or probably skill ?) of landing a Jew, King, bonito etc. It would probably be easier for me to list the fish I have caught - bream, whiting, flatties. Name: Will Age: 28 Location: Liverpool Available: most evenings, Thursday Friday, Sunday morning. Gear: yes Boat: no Willing to drive , the missus lives in berowra so I'm up there almost all the time.
  10. I've never used this but a friend of mine has many times up Stockton way. He's caught Jews and sharks with that rig but not sure about kings.
  11. Hey Raiders, So I am thinking of getting a fishing kayak, I was wondering what things I need to know, and what I should be looking at before I decide to make any decisions? I am located near Liverpool so would probably be fishing the georges but I also travel north for work quite often (twice a week) so I might do fishing up that way as well. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks guys!
  12. Hey Raiders, I was wondering if anyone familiar with the Skillion in Terrigal would mind writing one of these up? I have a floatation jacket and cleats although the mate that I am going with hasn't fished much. He is however an excellent swimmer and also owns cleats.
  13. Is this mainly off the rocks? I'm just wondering how the swell varies there?
  14. Awesome reports as always! Do you ever eat Aussie Sambos?
  15. Hey Fellas! Just a quick one from me. Hit the wharf in the Woy Woy channel with some live blood worms at about 9:00 pm. We missed high tide by about 30 minutes. First cast in with a running ball sinker heavy enough to hold bottom had a 33 cm whiting in the bucket. I then spent about 2 hours fixing snags and helping a mate rig his gear. When I finally got back in the water, tide was getting pretty low. Caught a couple undersized and one 30 cm which seemed to be the last of the bites for some time. Called it a night around 12:30. Heading back to Sydney! Keep the lines tight fellas! Budz
  16. Hey Guys! The only chance I have to get out this weekend is right on the peak of high tide saturday night. I know that it usually is good for a couple of hours. I was wondering if anyone has had any good luck fishing the run to low tide? I am probably going to be going off of a beach up north. Just not sure how that would fair. Hope the lines are taught and the fish are on! Budz
  17. I might need to invest in some heavies gear! Budz
  18. Thanks heaps man! Come out Friday and sat night
  19. Thanks for the reply! Which side is the bend? North or south? Haha
  20. Hey Raiders, I'm heading up to terrigal next week and am planning on getting out on terrigal beach for some night fishing. I was just wondering if anyone had a few tips on the set up I should be using. I have two beach rods with some pretty good gear. I was thinking of rigging one up on the bottom with a ganged pillie or if I can get my hands on live bait? The other I was planning on just using some lures? What's the generally consensus around terrigal? What's running at the moment? Hope the fish are biting! Budz!
  21. Hey all! Finally getting some free time around the place after finishing up at uni! Looking forward to getting out and about on the water or on the land. Happy to split costs and happy to drive. Have all the gear, I live near the city but spend a lot of time at the gfs in berowra. Hope to hear from some raiders! Cheers Will
  22. Hey Fishraiders!! I used to be on this a long long time ago! I used to fish a few times a week but haven't been out in a long long time! As it turns out, my current Mrs has to house sit for an uncle in woywoy for a couple of weeks and I'm planning on joining her for a couple of weekends! Just wondering if anyone had some local advice, what's biting, what tackle to take up. I understand if people are a little secretive with their spots but just a general location would work. The place is in woywoy bay but I don't mind the drive. She's also never landed a legal fish so fingers crossed! Thanks fellas and ladies! Budz
  23. Hey Fisho's! It has been a long long time since I have been on here, I am surprised I remembered my password. I had to stop fishing for a while as I was overseas working for a few years. On my way back to Aus I stopped over in Fiji for a few weeks and went fishing almost every day, I am back in Sydney, working again and have some serious cravings! I have my own gear for beach, rock and land based fishing. I lack a boat rod but a little fishy tells me the mrs is getting me one for my birthday. Anyway, I kinda know what I am doing, just looking for fisho friends. Hope everyone has been well. Will Oh, I am 25 and live in Camperdown, have a car, will split expenses and shout the first round.
