  1. What he said. I just replaced several of my rego letters, I just purchased them from the boat store I purchased the boat from. Cost under a dollar each and took about 2 minutes per letter to apply.
  2. Thats unfortunate, the millenium hull must be the difference, we have never taken water over the sides, we've gotten wet if it rains and we don't get the clears out though, but generally if we see the wheather closing in we have enough time to get them out.
  3. I've also got a quintrex 5 meter freedom sport with a 90 on it. I can really only echo Obey1's comments, in fact he took the words right out of my mouth. The kids love being up front, there is enough room for fishing at both ends. We have clears with ours so if the wheather closes in we can get out of it. I guess being bum heavy will depend on what donk you have on the back an how heavy your passangers are, we've had 6 adults in ours(its rated for 7)and getting up on the plane was no problem and visability wasn't an issue. The only time visability it an issue is driving back on the trailer, as you sitting amid ships its just a little more tricky to line everything up. Would we buy another one...depends on the need, if it was as a family all rounder, then definetly. But once the kids have buggered off we will probably look at either pure fishing platform ( hard to get out of the rain or sun though,) or a run about with bimini and clears.
  4. All great advice, but if you can't, won't or don't know how run the second battery you can also carry one of the portable battery jump packs, available at auto accessory stores.
  5. Garry the photo is a bit misleading, yes there are eastwest skids to guide to the centre but there are also north south skids that sit outside the east west that actualy take the weight of the boat. I've read somewhere else (and I can't vouch for its veracity, but it seems reasonable) that glass boats sit on rollers and aluminium sit on skids. I'm sure there are plenty of blokes on here that can offer better advice with roller set ups. Yeah the standing in the middle is the way we line up the boat with the trailer post, the only trouble is trying to reach the throttle at the same time.
  6. Hi Garry, I've got the 2009 model of the same boat and I love it as well. But like you, me and the missus struggled with getting it on the trailer. Looking at the trailer in the other thread you have rollers rather than the skids I have on mine. I'm not sure what difference that makes but we found getting the keel onto the center roller very tricky for a couple of reasons. Firstly the steering wheel being on one side meant that the boat would fall to one side as it came out of the water and would tend to steer off the center rollers, the answer was to stand in the center of the boat while driving it up. Secondly the other big problem we found was the way the rear skids were set with the center roller to "guide" the boat keel to the center roller. The roller that was fitted had too large a diameter, so when the keel ran down the skid it would jam against the outside of the roller rather than dropping into the center of the roller.(In the photo you can see the new roller in place, and get an idea of how the skid guides the keel to the center.) Took us a year to figure this one out, changed the roller and now the boat finds the center every time, and with a bit of practice we can now drive the boat up most of the way, before the winch takes over. Hope that makes sense, anyway, you should get lots of enjoyment out of your rig once you figure out getting it on and off(like what the other blokes said, pick a day when no one is around and spend and hour practicing getting it on and off.

LOCATION: Mill Bay - Narooma CONDITION OF RAMP/ACCESS: Concrete, single lane, good condition. The ramp is at the end of a cul de sac, with a few cars and trailers around it gets a little crowded. PARKING/FACILITIES: No marked parking spaces, limited space for parking on the grass verge. There are no toilets, no cleaning facilities, no pontoons. There is a small sand beach next to ramp. The upside to this ramp is that it not very popular thus not very busy.

    Wazz !

Hey Guys, I fish Wagonga Inlet at Narooma. There are several boat ramps there, and I'll add others after this weekend. But the main ramp is Apex Park. It's two lanes, very good condition. Fish cleaning area, Toilets, Motor flushing area, plenty of parking. Two pontoons, which isn't enough on most days. Only other gripe is lighting is not great. But overall pretty good.

Here's my girls, the missus driving our Quintrex 5.3mtr bowrider, 90 etec on the back. We like it, it takes us fishing and shoots the kids around on the tube.
  10. Thanks Doeado, I would also only need a section, and the underwater stuff is what I'm interested in. I went to the Garmin website first and it only shows one product, the G2 software, it doesnt mention seperate sections. Thanks for the info though, I'll keep researching.
  11. Hey guys, I have a Garmin 550s sounder. I was looking to purchase the preloaded g2 charts, I was interested in the 3d underwater maps. Has anyone had any experience with this product? I was wondering if it was worth spending the money, and does it cover all of Australias coast and inlets. My local area is Narooma NSW, Tuross river & lake, Clyde River Batemans Bay and Bermagui. If anyone has this software it would be great if you could check these areas and let me know if these areas are covered. Cheers.
