  3. Hit up here this arvo for a fllck didnt even get a touch. Was down in lane cove river off pittwater rd, looked promising but didnt happen. Spent about an hour or so just after 2.00pm -33.815809,151.143732
  4. i got some nitro 1/8oz #1 hook are these too big for the above 60-80mm wrigglers
  5. Was cold, and i guess when i had it made,it was quite fitted.I knew after a few cast, with the motion of the rod and the cool weather, must have shrunk my finger. It came off twice,so i pocketed my ring, thinking its the best option to hold on to it....think again, after quite a few fish, and quite a few beers, i thought, well maybe the pocket isnt the best option, few brews might not remeber where it is, so what do i do, first instinct, put the ring back on. and before i knew it ,cast out and motion just slipped the ring, i can still see it "in slow motion" th cast and actioin the movement o my arm i can still see the scene inside my head. flicking the rod and seeing that vision of the ring coming off,and going overboard. well , imagine trying to expain to the mrs, what happend! it was an expalination, well trust me, tring to expalin...and out fishing when this happend...oh god!
  6. Hey guys want to give squidding a go, can anyone recommend any landbased spots in the harbour, as i dont have a boat. Not sure where to look, but am curious is there anywhere west of the harbour bridge which might be ok to go? Have caught them throughout the harbour on a boat but never shorebased. Actually also how far west of the bridge do you think im able to catch them. Cheers

  13. Guys just wondering been off the water for a while and wanting to get back into angling, remeber years ago my dad used to take us to mainbar to pump nippers, is this still the place to go , or is there somewhere closer to this side of the city ( im in North Ryde ) where i can get them? Some use to say there was somewhere over near Tom Ugly's where they could be pumped? Cheers and what a wicked fishing forum this is

  15. Started throwing SP @ Hen and Chicken arount 8:15am, conditions were pretty much perfect. Hight tide was around 10 to 8 this morning we flicked for about 2 hrs until we decided to make a move. Drove over th northern side of Gladesville bridge and found a half decent place to play, pretty much sand and a bit of broken rock and still nothing another 2 hrs gone. Tried everything cast, drop slow retrive , the works.Going home dissapointed tried to redeem ourselfs mid arvo went donw to a little spot on lance cove river, another 1.5 hr and only a small enqiury fro a tiny bream. Is it me or is the fishing slack these days, tried the flick lift n wind , slow retrive , tried every action we could. Just wanted to try and fish with SP to see how it goes as being a bloodword man from a long time back. Do you guys have any tips or tricks i should know about> starting to think going back to bait. Cheers Guys
