up Lyell a month ago 4 ansa Seabees comp. hundreds of redfin caught.we got heaps in my boat and a couple of nice browns up to 55 cm. when cleaning the redfin they had millions of eggs in them. Heard from a reliable sorce up there some clown was sick of going there and catching ziltch so he released a heap illegally about 18 months - 2years ago and bragged about it on social media. I personly think as a trophy trout fishery it is now stuffed.

definitely a sole. I have caught 100s of them over many years . there is a lot of them of birdie beach at budgiwoy in the trench between the beach and reef 200 mtrs out. If you put them into hot water not boiling water for 5 mins they skin a lot easier. flesh is white firm and delicious .I rate them up there with john dory. hope this helps.
