    Boat weight

Gents, I know I will only know going over a weighbridge which I'm planning on doing but what do you think my boat would weight. 4.5 m Hinton glass v hull cuddy cab. Engine on board 75hp etec 2004, trailer is pretty standard . Trying to see if the jeep compass sport 4x4 would struggle towing it.
  2. I'm lucky in a sense I do shiftwork so never have to go to ramps on weekends. I put in at foreshore yesterday, only another 3 boats putting in... Makes it far less stressful
  3. I went 3 weeks ago on the hawkesbury and set some, end of the day we went to collect, I small tinnie done the bolt from that location to a near point where they appeared to fish but kept looking at us. Out of 8, one was missing, one had a massive hole in it and the rest were there... I think we interrupted them ... I've heard stories of psyco lobster fisheries catching people red handed.. Pull up alongside em and jump in their tinnie and strike there floor with an axe and leave. I'm not saying that's the solution but that'll f.# k em. It is dissapoibting though, ya best like someone else said put em in and flick plastics near by
  4. Wow nice rig brother, I only dream of having a fish from a nice boat like that. Unfortunately with my boat I'm restricted to inside.
  5. I need one too, I'm at narellan. Cheers
  6. Use the same tactic to those flamin catfish and eels in the hawkesbury
  7. Definitely 40, you have the option now with not a massive outlay. You don't want regrets
  8. yeah i was a flint and steel last week, 5 or 6 trawlers doing happy laps up and down, up and down, side to side. breaks ya heart
  9. man the bays a bitch if the southerly hits, about 2 months ago it hit about 3 pm, must have been 35 knots and it was a really ordinary trip up the georges lol. bimini wasnt coping
  10. hey that where i put in, great ramp. nothing to the ramp, go up the creek to cowan point and the red marker anchor there for some good flatties using squid or prawns. its in about 11 metres of water. let me know if theres any luck, i have found that the 2 hrs before lowtides a good time
  11. no expert but there should have been abit of water still circulating so doubt you would say a full 30 seconds
  12. Hey raiders, went out yesterday morning. 6am on the water at apple tree bay, water was beautiful that time of the morning. short trip to cowan point and on to some flatties of good size. kept a nice one measuring 68 cm and the rest went back, also hit elanor bluffs but with not alot of luck, anyways i was trying plastics through the day as Im new to it but all fish were caught on bait being prawns or squid mostly. cowan point seemed ok there just near the red marker in about 10 metres of water. Just finished dinner tonight of flatty fillets, lightly coated in bread crumbs and crushed corn flakes and pan fried. good feed and a heeps of fish there and kids polished it all off. cheers fellas
  13. hmmm never noticed that. might have to muck around tomorrow with it. so if im revving it and theres no pee, thats ok ??? i thought it would overheat
