Hi Does anyone out there own a Nitro Baby Viper? What reel have you matched it with and what kind of fishing do you use this outfit for? I've just bought one and intend on using it to cast larger (5 inch) plastics on 1/4-3/4oz jigheads, targeting larger flatheads, mulloway, salmon and rat kingfish. Occasionally I might rig it for live bait too. Ideally I would like to match it with a 4000 sustain or maybe even a 4000 stradic CI (cheaper option). I will be running about 15-20lb braid on this outfit. Does anyone have any experiences with this rod or any opinions that they would care to share. Cheers Thanh

Found a new packet of Kokoda B-Grub "Australian Livin' softbait series" at my usual launch spot (Kograh bay). According to the packet they're suppose to be good for bream, bass, flathead and many more species. Has anyone had any luck with these SPs?

Hi A few of us will be heading up to Forster in the next few weeks. We are thinking of fishing the estuaries. In addition we would also like to go deep sea fishing on a charter. Could anyone recommend a charter company or share any experiences?

Does anyone one know of any good kayak launching points preferably from the north side of the Hacking (Burraneer or Gunnamatta Bay) that would allow me to paddle across to Mainbar? Rutherford reserve would be ideal but it looks abit too rocky. Darook park at the opening of Gunnamatta bay looks feasible. On google maps there seems to be gate into the park but having never been there myself I'm not sure if you can park a car inside. Could any locals shed some light onto this?
