I'd never bought squid best rest assured they aren't nearly as good as they tend to need to be truly fresh, rather than just not off. Also I personally wouldn't consider buying anything that came from a hawkesbury trawler.

As for the boats at Scotland Island, and moored boats boats anywhere for that matter, I don't believe flushing salt water out is particularly important provided the engines are used often.

That's just what often happens when you're fishing down at you feet from a wharf or boat for squid/cuttles that are so close you can see them. you can't work the jig in the way that is most conducive to hooking up. a perfect remedy is one of those truly tiny jigs that are way smaller than yozuri 1.8s
