  1. This season was definitely a tough season only 5 hoodies in total for us. Put a lot of time in trying to think outside the square a bit. Managed Hoodies out of various different waterways which was a buzz its always a good feeling pulling fish from new territory. Keep up with the squid and the kings will come that's for sure. Found in the harbour if you get to the markers on first light with squid your in with a real chance. Good luck.
  2. Mate we scored this one North out of Botany.
  3. We were actually in 28 metres of water with the down rigger set at 22 metres deep.
  4. Hi Raiders Went out last week with my fishing buddy mick to try our luck on kingies !!!!! Left the botany bay boat ramp in the dark to see if we could grab a few squid ,after an hour or so my partner had 3 nice squid on board and myself Nil...... not sure what was wrong but 3 was a good to start the morning ... We both decided to down rig outside and after a few hours of trying to locate some sort of sign on our sounder with no luck!!! We stayed positive and gave it one more shot!!!! All of a sudden we had the rod buckle and line was pealing off quickly in short pulses ... after about five minutes I had a new personal best king fish on board weighing in at 13kg and a little over 1.10m Great feeling and there out there guys safe fishing raiders till next time...
  5. Hi Raider's After having heaps of rain come down and very little success the last few months myself and Micka headed out to try our luck!!! after many hours and persistence today was a very successful and enjoyable day for the both of us!!! It started out with getting live bait on board (thats was not easy). Once the bait was on board we started trolling , after a couple of hours we came across some activity that we worked on and on board we had 3 very healthy king fish on board 1) 13.6kg 113cm 2) 9.5kg 97cm 3) 9.5kg 95cm Micka had his Pb which was very enjoyable and well deserved as he had put many hours on the water. Happy fishing Raiders
  6. having issues trying to post can someone help me out???
  7. Hi FR's Sorry about the late post! I was out fishing the comp a couple of weeks ago in Botany Bay, alongside many other boats. There was great weather forcasted for the 3 days ahead. We started the morning off trying to catch live bait and managed to get a couple squid and 6 yakkas on board. After roaming around for hours trying to locate some activity in the bay, the bay looked dead as a door knob. The weather was stunning but nothing much happening. It was lunch time and we were feeling peckish. As we were getting our sandwiches ready we decided to change our bait and started a new troll. A couple of bites into our sandwiches, low and behold the rod bent like a bananna (Bang we are on). It took about four or so minutes, and 'wow' on board my boat was my first 1 plus meter king weighing in at 10 kg. I just want to say thank you to Costa and Christo for there help in showing me the ropes !!! This ones for you guys
