  1. Ummmm.....it is so easy to get an @anything email these days there is absolutely no way to stop people re-inventing themselves just via email? If you search free email in google and go to like page 50 or something those emails will not be blocked. If you know anyone who has their own domain name (like $3 for a .info domain) you can easily set up a redirect to your hotmail with it. Just sayin....
  2. The technology in the rods is nano technology. Unfortunately the poor craftsmen ship has caused problems. For example I've heard 2 reports of the rods snapping in store because the guides were digging into the blank. The rods are being sold directly from the chinese factory via agents in aus so there is no big distributor backing the rods incase of warranties etc down the track. There are other rods from big brands with this same technology...thats probably your better option if you really want this nano technology but with quality manufacturing. For example St Croix and G.loomis use nano technology in their blanks. That being said G.loomis also is made in China...95% of rods on the market are so the problem is not China.
  3. Any hints on where the "local creek" is?
  4. The bass are well and truly in the Nepean got into plenty on the surface on Saturday.
  5. Hey mate Bay and Basin sportfishing...Greg Reid. He is the man to speak to if you want to book a charter.
  6. The same with me, the biggest bream I've ever seen was there eating my subway crumbs when I was at the boat show. Probably a mullet that jumped though not a Salmon.
  7. If by Barra "taken in Sydney" you mean scooped up in a net within an inch of their life...then yes they have been "taken" in Sydney after they were released by idiots.
  8. just courier it to your hotel.
  9. Ika squid jigs? Do you mean Ikado? http://www.rapala.com.au/rapalahome/show_one_product.aspx?productgroup=Lures&iid=441 edit: adding link
  10. It's not hugely complicated or nonsensical - it makes enough sense for hardcore squid fishos to want to have a specialised rod. Softer action to keep the barbs in the soft flesh, longer rod to nail the jig a long way, long butts for two handed japanese jigging action.
  11. 1000 sizes reel is nice to use but the line you put on it is more important than anything because that tiny spool will give you grief with rubbish line...wind knots etc. Also depends on what lure you are working, remember on a 1000 reel turning the handle a few time doesn't get you back much line
  12. I use my Okuma X-Factor squid rod for everything because I bought it for squid but its so good for everything else too especially land based due to the extra length. Nice flats rod...long casts and slower action keeps those little trebles in.
  13. Shimano, Berkley and heaps more - 90% of the rods come out of the same Chinese factory including Jarvis Walker.
