Hey guys, First of all, I hope everyone had a joyful Christmas and a safe holiday so far and second of all, this is my first post so please don't go too hard on me! =) After celebrating NYE and a few hours sleep, my alarm rang and it was time to head off to work :BangHead:. Started my day at 0700 on the first day of the year and god did it go slow? Half way through work, my mate sent me a text asking if I would like to join them fishing and without thinking twice, I said "F*#& YEAH" as always :headbang: Straight after work, still buggered as hell, I rushed home and had a quick rinse, geared up and headed out. Got to our destination around 1830 and had our first cast out by 1845. Hardly any bites, not only for us but for other fishos out there too. :BangHead: Couple of hours later, nightfall soon arrived. Put on a glow stick out on the line and was watching it and suddenly, it disappears. Didn't think I had anything as I didn't feel much of a pull but something definitely sunk it. So I started reeling it slowly and felt a few tugs and soon realised it was something. Thought it was either a small salmon or tailor as it didn't give much of a fight. A few minutes later, got my first hairtail! Measured to be 139cm. Thought it was an eel in the beginning as it was hard to see in the dark but once the light was shined, it was hard to mistake for its shiny appearance. -Jerms
