  1. Launch from currembeen creek , the game fishing clubhouse has just been built there and there is plenty of parking
  2. I am absolutely appalled at the situation we find ourselves in with regards to this trawler. What puzzles me more was earlier in the thread some people in a strange way were defending it's activities and catch quotas It's views like these that anger me that voting is compulsory, because it's these morons that put labour in government which is causing our country to go in the insane direction we are heading. It is our god given right to defend our shores against these greedy mongrels, so hopefully our kids and grandchildren get to enjoy our oceans the way we have, so I encourage all of the readers to write a letter to joe ludwick in protest, make no mistake about it unless something happens to stop this ,its going to happen. In conclusion any of you who support this trawler please do us all a favor ,and immigrate to another country where they accept this bull s...t
  3. Don't kid yourselfs, a boat of that size arrives but the quota doesn't change, I would like to know the full story we would be getting the usuall political spin so as to try to keep all calm. At least the smaller operaters would take smaller amounts of the schools of fish where as the size and capacity of those nets will simply take full schools, if all taken from particular areas one could only assume that the food chain would be affected. It's a sad state of affairs when even after all the bungled policies and lies told by our government daily, people still have the faith to believe they are telling the truth today. It's baffling that around the same time of announcing all these new marine parks in the name of conserving the marine environment, the government in all it's wisdom allows fishing of this size and calibre. I'm not a greeny, but gee whiz we've gotta give the fish some chance don't we?

    Crookhaven

As soon as you get through the crookhaven heads, head a couple of hundred meters of the lighthouse, use sounder to find some colour than berley for slimeys and yakkas, you wont miss it there will be heaps of boats as its the first point outside heads where all will stop for live bait. You will find kings out at the banks (dont have co ordinates but ask at culburra bait and tackle or just follow the boats from river, most go to banks for a look first up from bait grounds) I fish from greenwell point most weeks it has been pretty quiet at the banks in regards to kings but plenty of reefys around, hopefully we get a bit of current in the next week or two over the banks, that should fire things up a bit for the kings and hopefully a beaky or two might turn up.
