  1. I have a 440 Mako Frenzy. Love it. 3mm top and bottom sides. 1.2m keel, takes the rough stuff well for a small boat. Rides well and exceeding stable. I fish the Snowy Mountains, south coast rivers and on a good day 20km off shore on the south coast. Hope this adds to the confusion.
  2. Great Advice. As others have mentioned who would have thought. I have the locking type pin fitted to my bar. Not because I thought the pin was a problem, but more for making it a bit harder for thieves to knock off the whole hitch etc. I have a tow ball lock as well. Didn't think it was much use having a tow ball lock and an easily removed pin on the draw bar. Not totally theft proof if some lowlife wants to steal your boat, but in an attempt to hopefully, make it a bit more difficult for them to do so.
  3. If you only wiped it out, It will be fine. The acetone has damaged the plastic, but unless you soaked it in it for hours should not have eaten through the casing. Replace it next time you do the filter.
  4. 100amp AGM Ultimate battery with a ctek 15 amp charger. Its 10 years old now and hasn't missed a beat on the kota. Can troll for 2.5 days before a charge. It wasn't cheap at the time but over the past ten years it now has worked out at being a great buy. One tip never let your deep cycle stay discharged for long periods, it kills them. I charge mine after each trip and again if camping via 180w solar panels ( 3 60watt folding ) it is brilliant, no more noisy generators for me. The battery weights 38kgs. Hope this helps
