Hi Kaneo,fish just outside the boat ramp break wall opening about 200mts up along the main wall should get you bream,trevally,flathead and tailor although fishes best afternoon into night or early morning.It produces 3 out off 5 times for me.

Thanks for the reply Lungfai ,was there about 2 months ago and had a backhoe on the wall probably readjusting boulders that moved in the storms a few months ago.Would have though it would have been repaired by now.Thanks again.Darko.

I have used this method about 15 yrs a go on a charter boat over the flathead grounds and the skipper looked and laughed at me and said i was the first to try this on his charter.Sure i got out fished 2-1 by bait but all my flathead were bigger so some of my mates asked to borrow some plastics for there rigs, and the skipper was very surprised and said he would use this method on future charters.So it does work.Cheers Darko

Hi, Sam I have not fished the island 4 a few years now,but used to catch bream and tailor straight out off car park with long cast.The wall at the mouth of river good 4 bream,flathead,tailor and salmon,all caught on river and beach side. Hope this helps, Dakers.
