hi all Headed out for the first time this season to chase some kings in the harbour with my uncle his first time i had talked it up !! and what do you know... kings! spent last night squiding managed 14 it was a bit slow had a power nap then started DR all the usual spots then on spot 5 the rigger goes off a nice 73 second pass 62 goes back then third pass another 73 by now im itching for a go so i set up the 2nd DR and now im ready 3 passes and nothing one more pass my rod gets hammered and im into it feels good nice fat 85 After that it goes quiet so we grab a mooring and cook breaky drop 2 livies down and commented how you always get hit when you're trying to cook or eat and yes both rods go off! mine comes up easy, is under sized and thrown back the uncle struggling by now and i see that his is a good fish he starts to get some line back and pop the rod snaps in half what the?! so i yell for him to wind and... just wind!! i see colour, grab the gaff and have a shot and miss it circles around and this time no missing gaffs in and its in the boat 94cm and smiles around, my uncle was still shaking 10min later hahaha after that we headed home to clean the catch cheers miller

hi mate i used to throw poppers from spot b on a run in tide and pulled some nice kings from out front of the second pylon and also lost some too cheers miller

hi all headed out sat night for some squid it was very slow going managed 20 in four hours not the best start ! headed for a sleep and something is wrong i forgot the downriggers so after some words that im not going to repeat we grabbed some shut eye i woke part way throw the night and somethig else as missing the hum of the livie tank battery i dead flat with all the squid dead i lay down thinking this is not going to be a good day!!! wake up in the morning and tried every marker in the harbour for pickers headed back into middle harbour to cook some breaky and use the last of the squid as we where anchoring i here a voice calling out it was netic in his mates boat he comes over to have a chat and the kings are on and taking squid on the downriggers and of course no downriggers!!!! so netic takes my mate (damo) that has never caught a king let alone a decent fish for a run an low and behold 65cm king so i pull anchor and anchor up near the spot they keep getting hit damo rejoins me and the first bait in the ater gets smacked damo leans back and is on goes tto reposition the rod and cops the butt of the rod in the family jews slack line king gone so i drop my bait down 2 winds and im on and its desent i play it around the motor than back again then it decides its heading south for the winter a couple of tense moments and it appears i call it for 80cm + and damo has a couple of swipes with net and its in the boat we stay for a little longer for some throw backs and it goes quiet so we pull the pin and head home all in all not bad day even with all the thing that went wrong cheers miller

hi all its been a long time between fishing trips so i had the chance to head out for a squid and take a newby (damo) we left tunks park at 6pm and arrived at spot (squid) after 4hour we had our limit of 40 and damo said it was like cheating so after that we headed home cheers miller

hi all went down thr wier for a quick flick very quiet had a couple of half hearted hits moved up river and second cast bang line starts peeling of the reel and im thinking carp wouldnt be the first time that ive hooked a carp on a surface lure then it turns and gives up the ghost and starts flaping on the surface i slowly bring it in and get a look its a bass and a big bass now the knees start to shack i have no net and 10lb trace rocks every where and one clump of weed at my feet so i slowly glide the big girl onto the weeds and up the bank i call out to a bloke flicking lures just up from me and it turns out to be bluedog a couple of pics on his phone as i didnt take the camera and watch her swim away i measured her up next to my rod and when i got home i measured it she was 49cm mabye 50cm my best to date as soon as i can get the pics off my phone ill post them cheers miller heres the pics

hi mate i do all my bass fishing an hour before dark then a couple of hours into the night i use sureface walkers 99% of the time and have good results this year average fish is around the 30cm mark and have had sum unstoppables steal my lure i fish the wier and down river from there just landbased fish any over hanging trees or structure cheers miller
