  1. I mainly fish for bass and have been told to not release bass back into the water if you pulled it from the school. Fish coming back to the school stressed will alarm other fish that something is wrong. So i have only practised this and usually release the fish elsewhere (maybe a few 10 meters away), unless im on a yak then i can't really do much
  2. Nice bag there mate! Sashimi trevally is nice
  3. Great bag of squid there mate. Gotta be happy with that
  4. I got a 7' 1-3 kg rod matched with a 1000 reel with 5lb line with 6-8lb leader. Never had an issue landing a trout on it. But then again i haven't come across a monster rainbow yet.
  5. Nice bag and a nice spot by the looks of it. Thanks for sharing the photos as well
  6. When i go fishing, i always tell someone (usually my girlfriend) where i will fishing. But most of the times i always try to get someone to come along with me. Lucky my little sisters boyfriend is into fishing now so he is always keen to go.
  7. Thanks for the great read and great photos. Even with the scary locals, it looked like you guys had a great time.
  8. Goon in ya mate I'm planning a trip there one day and hopefully land my first rainbow, can't wait.
  9. Well done..what a cracker! Gotta be stoked with that
  10. Good on ya mate Good to see you got into some of them.
  11. Well done mate.. Any fish is better then none. Will need to get out there sometime this week...
  12. That is one cracker bass! Congrats! I often stay at my girlfriends place (that's next to the water) and never really though about fishing that area thinking it was mainly filled with mullet. Might have to polish the kayak and go for a fish after work sometime? Thanks for the report and photos
